Blake, at this point, I can safely and certifiable say, that if you could guarantee me this achievement on Xbox Live, I would write you a check right now.

I want to stop staring at Dead Rising, but I can't. I just can't stop until I've finished this now.

Shit son, you can get two hundred gamerpoints for this.

(I think it would have to be an XBLA title)

    no

no, this one. 5 and 7 days survivor.

See, I don't get obsessed over things until I fail at them. Then I have to beat it. Before when I didn't get this I simply blamed it on the fact I was overworked, had no time to fiddle around with meaningless bullshit, and moved on.

But last night, I failed again. This time, I have no such excuse. This time it beat me without any help. I just fell asleep because it's boring as all holy fuck. Now it's on. Now I'm officially locked on this shit and I will not rest until I'm done. It's just how I am.

I am now picturing your girlfriend dishing you out. "Lifetimepoints" for shit like picking her up after work and for buying her dinner.

She'll be all, I'll give you two lifetimepoints for getting me a drink.

Isn't Linguine the talentless hack that takes other people's talents and bleeds them dry and can only recreate dishes as opposed to creating them? How do you relate to him hashpipe?

Dead Rising 2 to feature 14 day survival achievement

I am positive that it will, since they thought 7-day was extreme, and people have hit 28-day.

For film of the year, in all honesty, I am going to go with The Road. This year in film was pretty subpar, John Hillcoat is a monster of a director (and Nick Cave can produce a soundtrack like no other)... and I think the film remained very truthful to the material.

why go to the strip and pay 4 dollars when you can go to Fremont and get it for 2.50 + beer in a football

Fremont scares me because I can get anything I want deep fried

I cannot be trusted with the power of deep fryination (deep frying a copy of The Dharma Bums to see how it tastes)

The IMDB listing doesn't even have a US wide listing.

I just checked a few days ago and the first release in Ohio period is happening this Friday (Thursday at midnight). But it will only be at one theater in the entire state.

So if it hasn't been released near you double check for times on the 18th

I am not sure about a wider release though.

It appears to be that way. The Proposition (which was another excellent Hillcoat film) was released straight to DVD, although it makes sense since it was an Australian film. I think with a director like Hillcoat, tackling the extremely depressing elements in films like The Road, the producers hedge their bets which is unfortunate.

Strange, there don't appear to be listings yet for any of the theaters in my area for December 18.

Not that it matters, seeing Avatar that weekend anyways

You're right, in the US, according to IMDB it was released in 3 film festivals and in New York.

synecdhoche ny was excellent as well. and i really liked two lovers, unexpectedly

Well, good sir. I will not dispute this. I am merely stating that, according to IMDB it was released in 4 (not 3, my bad) film festivals and in New York. I don't know how official / unofficial releases of movies work. Did you see it in 2005/06 or later?

edit: I also envy you. Seeing The Proposition in theatres was probably magnificent. Half the awesome of that movie is due to excellent cinematography.

because the local marketing team are probably pretty smart and thought 'what this game needs is a special edition. with a gun!' and they went about having it made and all the other, different marketing teams thought 'damn! i wish i thought of that'
