Living with Hematospermia (I can't be the only one here who's suffered from it)

Starting November, I woke up to find blood in my underwear. Naturally (considering I'm a hypochondriac), I freaked the fuck out and thought it was prostate or testicle cancer, I looked online, read about hematospermia, and calmed down. It only happened one time in November, the second time it happened was in December the day after I helped my relatives move furniture in and out of my grandmother's apartment.

Honestly, this had made even more paranoid than I already am. I'm constantly hoping I don't see blood every time I take a wizz, and frequently checking my underwear.

    Go to a doctor. This can be a symptom of infection as well.. and you don't want it spreading into something important like your kidneys.

    I had bloody sperm once, then again a week later, went to the doctor the next day. Infection in one of the tubes that ferry semen around. Month of antibiotics. There were no problems only because i got it taken care of quick. No pain and the blood didn't pop up all the time. (i ejaculated more than once between the two occurrences).

    Don't risk infertility and go to a doctor. They'll just rub your balls and make you jerk into a cup (true story they totally rubbed my balls).

    Makes for a good story afterwards.

    You should never diagnosis yourself, you don't have the medical training to do so. Finding blood down there is a symptom of a lot of things. Don't be a hypochondriac man. D:

    Just go see a doctor, it's probably just a stupid infection and it'll only take a few minutes and you'll probably be able to go to sleep tonight if you do!

    It sounds like it's time to pony up for some insurance. If you can get insurance first. If you have a doctor diagnose it (and it turns out to be something) first and then get insurance, your ailment will be a pre-existing condition.

    Despite your not having insurance, it'll be a lot cheaper to fix now than the surgery / hospital visit a couple months from now

    Yeah, look for a clinic or something, but that's the kind of symptom that isn't worth dicking around over a couple hundred $

    I love that were telling an hypochondriac to go to the doctor.

    Upset stomach, nose bleed, headache, muscle ache, cold/flu....there are lots of minor ailments I don't bother the doctor with or worry about.

    That being said, my dick is pretty damn important to me and if blood came out of it I would be going to a doctor ASAP. You might want to grab health insurance first since you live in the US.

    I had this happen to me a little while back and posted about it too... however I did have a doctor's appointment almost immediately. The doc did a few tests (and felt me up) and everything seemed normal. I have a follow up coming with a urologist that'll be more thorough.

    I hasn't happened since so I'm not too worried but to repeat what everyone has already told you... GO TO THE DOCTOR. If it's something serious they'll be in a position to help you... if it's not then it'll put your mind at ease. Go now... today.

    If there isn't a free clinic around, there MUST be an emergency clinic. Not a hospital/er, just an emergency clinic. The ones near me are around 60-70 dollars for a visit. Bloody dick = use a credit card.

    One thing I like about my dick is that it doesn't leak blood. I think this is one of the better advantages of being a male, along with being able to pee standing up. I can't fathom not going to a doctor if this changed.

    hi, will readers please note that there is a proven link between haemospermia & untreated very high blood pressure (200+/140).
    It was true in my case, - on discovering I had 200+ blood pressure & starting emergency blood pressure reduction tablets the haemospermia quickly stopped & hasnt returned.
    NOTE the haemospermia is harmless (tho I know that it is a sex-life killer) BUT the untreated high blood pressure will kill you .. so get tested immediately !!
