I just rewatched all the class videos that Bioware has released thus far, something is nagging me a little about one thing particular; the sentinel gets a bigger and much better heavy armor then the soldier class (AKA tech armor).
I hope we get to add a single ability to our classes like in the first game at the very least, because now I'm going to want to give my soldier that tech armor, or give my sentinel an assault rifle...Now that's a pickle of a choice, do I want a more tech orientated soldier or a more well equipped sentinel.
Edit: Correction made.
We have something in place for bonus talents, but it's not quite that or the same as in ME1. Presumably, marketing will announce some more about it sometime in the new year
Actually, elaborating on that. If they really call it Slam, than that Sentinel had it as his bonus skill. Was after the passive tree, not highlighted the entire vid, and is one skill too many :rotate:
I really want to know how they handle bonus skills. They said they are in, but differently.
You know what I just realized? Slam isn't a power that any class gets by default. The only time we've seen it has been as a bonus power the sentinel in the class video had. I wonder if there will be other powers that can only be nabbed as bonus powers.
Christ, Sentinel is already an amazing class. With Slam, it's even better than the dumbfiltrator.
One of these days, Bioware is going to make a ME game where a lot of the enemies will be able to 'resist' biotic powers. Then we'll see whose laughing at the end of the day.
Edit: Damn you Birudojin for being insightful and helpful, now I'm going to be racking my poor little brain trying to figure what these 'bonus' skills are before the game even comes out.

I'm pretty sure Slam is the Vanguard power. No solid proof for this, but his move can be pretty accurately described as a slam.

Unique powers for teammates that you can learn would be a pretty nifty idea, I have to say. I'm hoping it's that.
Still waiting on Chrono Trigger-style combined powers for ME3. Come on, incinerate + singularity = fire singularity! Cyro + pull = Ice spike! Overload + Distruptor Ammo = bullets of ultimate death! Slam + Adrenaline Rush + Throw = My God.
So any super official super detailed info no what all carries over?
I feel like they are really dropping the ball by not getting that information to us in a timely manner before the release of the next game.
They aren't dropping the ball. Dude, you gotta live the way you feel you should live. See where those decisions take you. Just pretend like every decision matters and pick what you want.

It's not so much the decisions more like, does doing all the unc mineral collecting get you something good?
Stuff like that, because that's a significant chunk of time.
If Slam isn't the Vanguard's thing, then what would it be to make it distinct from the Vanguard's ability?
You biotically slam someone down into the ground? I mean, has Slam even been shown off? I thought you just see it listed under the Sentinel, but it's never highlighted and never used in a video.
And there hasn't been a Vanguard true video, so we don't know the names of the skills. Did I miss something?

I'm pretty sure a dev's word on those were something like "Oh, god no, those were just collection quests."

Well, that would at least contribute to the Rich achievement, which I believe has been confirmed to give you something in ME2.

Does the rich achievement net you something with all your characters, or only the characters that met the requirements to get that achievement, even if it were already gotten.
I don't know, but it's a fair enough guess. Before I was asking that if that charge isn't called Slam, then what would Slam be to make it distinct from that?

Achievement based rewards are good for all characters on your profile. As long as you're playing on a profile with an unlocked achievement, the reward applies to any and all characters.

Well, Slam could definitely be a unique party member ability, such as Samara's. Like I said, maybe she lifts them and then slams them straight down.

Maybe, but Slam doesn't imply a vertical force. We haven't seen a vertical slam move but we have seen the Vanguard's charge, so I think it's more likely to be that.

Hah! I knew it. Hi5 Biru
So, on Noveria now. So many more choices than Feros.
I think Noveria was meant as the first planet you go to, because the rewards for a few quests are like 500 credits. I'm only doing it as my second, and that's chump change to me already.
I bet Biru is so wasted right now, let's pump him for more info

What in the world are you talking about? He's clearly not.
Edit: I mean come on, you know how fucking hard it is to type something coherent on a keyboard when you’re even a little bit tipsy? It nets worst results then drinking and driving, believe me.

They basically said it ruins/spoils entirely how your decisions affect ME2. I've been avoiding it, but was wondering if it is really all that bad?
Yes or no would suffice.
The most I know about carry -overs is
I'm wondering if the time is getting close where I go on media blackout.
