You know what I just realized? Slam isn't a power that any class gets by default. The only time we've seen it has been as a bonus power the sentinel in the class video had. I wonder if there will be other powers that can only be nabbed as bonus powers.
I'm pretty sure Slam is the Vanguard power. No solid proof for this, but his move can be pretty accurately described as a slam.
Vanguard's power isn't "slam"
its RUSH!
But this is the future, so wouldn't it be Rush 2112?
I'm sorry.
Anyway, it seems I'll be trying out more classes than I thought I would. The Vanguard and Soldier were my classes of choice in ME1 and will be in ME2. However, I'll also probably make at least two new characters in ME2. One will likely be an Adept, and the other will be an Engineer or Infiltrator.
I bet Biru is so wasted right now, let's pump him for more info
What in the world are you talking about? He's clearly not.
Edit: I mean come on, you know how fucking hard it is to type something coherent on a keyboard when you’re even a little bit tipsy? It nets worst results then drinking and driving, believe me.
Hey Bioware people, can you confirm or deny for me if the PC version of ME2 will support 360 controller options?
If not, then why not? I don't want to have to map two different buttons for walking and running again.
The answer to if we have 360 controller support on the PC is No.
The basic reason is that it was decided that the benefits from supporting the 360 controller on the PC was not worth the costs involved.
This is one of those features that we argue about internally a bunch.
It pretty much boils down to some people think there's a lot of people would use controllers, especially 360 controllers, on the PC or would if given the chance, and some people think that not enough people would use 360 controllers to make the additional work worth it.
Like almost every ongoing argument we have internally, there's not a whole lot of statistics that back up either point of view, but then again if there were statistics there wouldn't really be an argument I suppose, it'd probably be a cut-and-dry choice for doing it or not.

That's a pretty big letdown. I didn't know adding alternate controls was so costly, since I figured the 360 and PC version were essentially the same game, just ported to separate systems.
What about standard joypad support? Or, at the very least, not having to push a key to alternate between walking and running?

They did a damn great job at making which class to choose difficult.
Well, sure, if you don't count Vanguards I guess.
I just also happen to have a Sniper Rifle fetish.
She's just a big stupid jellyfish.
That's what I first thought of when I saw "Slam" in that Sentinel video.
That just seemed like Lift. And then it fell once Lift ended. It fell hard because it's big and heavy.
Hard to tell though.
