Well, I wanted to go Shep, Wrex, and Garrus for unstoppable badasses. Is the human armor from that mission better than the Spectre stuff you end up with? What's the Quarian armor called, I'm looking at the types in the wiki, but it doesn't say which is from that mission. It tells you which omni tool is from that mission though.
There is no Spectre armor, so yes it's better than the Spectre stuff you end up with. The armor is Colossus which is the best in the game.

The wiki says there's Spectre Quarian made by Hahne-Kedar Shadow Works. It could be wrong though.
EDIT You can just do BDtS in multiple playthroughs and grab everything anyway, right?

That stuff's from cheats I think.
And yeah, you can. None of the stuff is actually unique, either, just uncommon, so chances are you won't need some of it eventually.

So I bought ME on Steam and tried it out now and for some reason the game runs like ass once I arrived on Eden Prime. And it can't be my computer, because no matter what settings I set the game to (I even tried low textures in 800x600) the game decides to completely drop the FPS when I look into specific directions. It's really weird. I look to the left: Smooth FPS. I look to the right: 5fps.

The only thing they mention for console cheats when i looked was 3 grades of Omni tools.
Oh another good question......can you use that console cheat for talent points on the charm and intimidate skills? That way I don't need to play -6- times in order to max them both out and use the dialog that I want to use.

Have we had any hints about preordering ME2 from Steam? I recall the Dragon Age preorder went up about two weeks before release, so there's still time. But I'm curious and impatient.
If they'd open pre-orders right now they'd lose their momentum in all the Steam sales craziness going on. In two days the regular 'coming soon' tabs and stuff are back.
Oh another good question......can you use that console cheat for talent points on the charm and intimidate skills? that way I don't need to play -6- times in order to max them both out and use the dialog that I want to use.
I believe you can cheat anything using the console. However, you only need to play three times if you wanted to max out Charm and Intimidate without actively putting any points into them. That is, unless the patch fixed those exploits. You can certainly do it on the 360.
On a serious note, hello Mass Effect thread. Sorry if the following question has been asked before, but I'm far too lazy to read this entire thread again to possibly find the answer.
So, I'm going through a Paragon Fem-Shep "Do a bunch of side quests and leave Therum for last so I can giggle at crazy Liara and bang emo biotic boy" run in preparation for ME2. If I have time to start a NG+ and take the Renegade/Liara-banging/side-quest-ignoring path, which of those choices will get imported to ME2?

Oh I wasn't going to use that one exploit I read about a while ago....but I think you need to play through mostly paragon 3 times and mostly renegade 3 times to max them both. I could be wrong.
The listing for console commands on the Wiki says nothing about Charm, Intimidate, or the specialized classes.
And who cares about min/maxing ME1 anyway. It's ME2 time, baby!
I have upwards of 20 games to go through. I haven't even -touched- Dragon Age yet. So playing ME 2 is a long way off. I just don't like not having all the dialog options available to play the way I'd like to play.

You don't even need that much. I think you're good with 3 or 4. It is right at the start of the game and unless you're doing New Game+, you aren't going to be able to put in more than 3 or 4 points anyway.
Oh, there seems to be a command to just give talent points you can spend anywhere you want, that will work fine. I can do everything I want in 2 runs or so then.
am I the only one who maxed both charm and intimidate before putting points into anything else? Maybe cause I was an infiltrator and all i really needed to put points in was pistols and the pistol berserking cooldown whatever it was called but none of the other things ever truly felt necessary and the extra charm/intimidate options added some cool dialogue to the story

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
