I swapped my AG-94 for an AK-103 with the same accessories (Reflex sight and Grenade Launcher). All I can say is wow... I'd lost faith in the BRs up until now. I'm trying to wrap my head around why I'm able to fight more effectively with a weapon that hits (as far as I can tell slightly) harder at the expense of fire-rate. Looking at the stats I think the AG-94 should do more damage per second than the AK-103. It definitely seems that the AG-94 should have a higher probability of headshots thanks to its higher fire-rate, accuracy and stability. However, using the AK-103 I was able to brutalize my enemies in ways I never could with the AG-94. Maybe I just got lucky but the AK-103 seemed to do far more damage than its stats would belie.

ak-103 +reflex slight + grenade launcher is really good (well I like it anyway). I figure that because the ak-103 has a lower fire rate, the recoil isn't as much of a problem. The ag-94 with it's higher accuracy is probably better with 4x + grip, as you can shoot farther more accurately. Closer up though, the higher accuracy is trumped by the higher damage of the ak-103. Also, the grenade launcher is underrated. You can get double and triple kills really easily with it, as people tend to clump together, which is always a mistake.

Honestly I'm half way tempted to veterain to raven. It seems like the wrong kind of people are playing on sver in pubs more often. Recently Raven seems to be getting their shit together. I could be totaly wrong and the silly goose ratio is evenly distributed amongst all three factions but I seem to here more ratial slurs and thug speak from the fallen Valor guys and lone wolf and singing OICs seem to be on the rise in SVER ranks.

Unfortunately I too have noticed this. As I'm getting closer to 60 I'm seriously looking at Raven. I had a great public game today and elected to call it a quits afterwords; not because I had anything pressing but because I wanted to end the day on a positive note, with some shred of faith in the player base intact. Is it safe to assume that once the majority of the clan veterans we'll be going Raven?

I've been trying to level more lately entirely so that I'll be near or at 60 when we decide to vet over to another PMC. Sitting at 42 as of tonights games.

Have to agree that right now Raven is looking pretty good, aside from the fact that I've been seeing a bit more teamwork from them as of late, their guns feel really damn good and there are some other PA'ers over on that side already.

I think we are starting to see a balance in factions as the SVER Veterans are mostly going Raven to help out the special ed class, so they're starting to get their shit together more and SVER is starting to attract more and more kiddies who want an easy win and heard that SVER is the way to go. This sadly leaves Valor with the scrubs and i'm glad as hell i already got them out of the way.

The R-553 (Raven's BR) is scary good, the ATAC-2000 is outstanding and comes with a free fore-grip. With the weapons at Raven's disposal I'm shocked that they are not doing better until I consider some of the issues they seem to face; communication issues and a seeming lack of aggressive players coupled with some really brutal level design. I really think that an organized aggressive Raven squad would be a scary sight; the rare occasions that I have faced such an entity I've found them to be extremely difficult to stop.

I'm up for switching soon as well, especially to Raven. I love their weapons, and I'd really like to experience defending their maps, but more importantly assaulting SVER, to see how difficult it really is (particularly our acquisition map).

I'll be 60 soon, so whenever we come to consensus is fine for me, even if I need to play a little longer before I can join everyone.

I played approx 10 games yesterday. The first three SVER got rolled and it felt like we were outnumbered. The rest of the games SVER did the rolling and it felt like we were also doing the outnumbering. No competitive wins/losses and majority of these games were against Raven. Small sample size says competition isn't rising, but rage-quiting is.

The trophy silly goose in me has no problem rolling into a new faction (and the Raven battle rifle is a sweet incentive) but there is no way I move without a PA majority. The game is a completely different experience when you don't have half the squad asking "dude, so do you um, like science? do like know a lot about science?".

This is something I didn't want to see - We came out of the gate as a non-competitive community and never established how/if/when we would deal with the Veteran issue. I don't want anyone to feel pressure to play more to keep up - that's not fair to both the player(s) involved and the idea of the group itself.

I'm finding Raven on their Acquisition defense have more or less gotten their collective shit together, and now that they've done that they crush most of SVER's starting rush tactics which seems to lead to Squads avoiding the trouble areas to not have a negative kill:death ratio and thus never take down the Bunkers. In one game I had what looked like 4 guys on the FRAGO'd Bunker (Anyone care to guess the tag they bore?) and the other four waiting / moving in on any combination of the three remaining Bunkers and tentatively advancing. There's still no ranged bomb option, right? :P

But yeah, drawing Raven on any other map generally leads to the feeling that half the rival squad isn't even there.

One of the games was domination defense (Raven attacking) where I took up the bunker turret for the last 3/4 of the game (after realizing that my squad had completely abandoned the bunker/far right path in favor of the tower.) Not only did the enemy completely ignore that right path (which is probably why our turret was abandoned) but not once did I take a rocket blast. I can't believe that if a full 1-3 squads were attacking that not one of them would have the good sense to pack a RPG.

Need input from the Raven guys (Bamelin signal!) on whether the "rage-quitter" theory is the norm or I've just been the unlucky participant in a lot of bad games recently.

Pretty sure Bamelin said a lot of Raven players had more or less given up on domination against SVER a while back, and were sticking to acquisition.
I know attacking Raven on on acquisition can be really tough sometimes.

I think jumping factions sounds like a lot of fun, though i'm only lvl 43 at the moment so it would be a little while for me. One question: if a bunch of us end up making the switch, would we start a new clan there or would we just join up with an already established one? I think we've got a good thing going with the Mechenaries and i'd hate to see that diluted by a bunch of strangers.

So for the immediate future I'm resigning from SVER and MAG. Traded MW2 and MAG in for BC2 last night... So far no regrets.

I think the mechanics and concept of MAG are brilliant. Super fun to play. The graphics (and some bugs) are really the only negatives IMO. I suspect I'll be missing out on some really cool DLC - they've built an impressive framework that hopefully they'll make good use of. And yeah, it kinda made me feel gross that Gamestop gave me $40 for COD and only $28 for MAG. I almost refused but said screw it. Sigh.

But BC2... Just wow. I think I'll be playing this for a long time. Can't help but wish it had Fragos and squad leaders - but other than that I'm not finding flaws. Graphics and audio are ridiculously good. And I'm a menace with a tank.

Anyways if any of y'all find yourselves going that way send me an invite to squad up.

During the first few days of release I overheard many conversations of people complaining about how non-intuitive the game is (some warranted, some ridiculous like that youtube game review that was posted awhile back) and how much MW2 was better. I would be curious to see what the trade in numbers were like to see if the used market was flooded rather early.
