So after 2 days I unlocked everything on the solider. Today I figured I'd start on the demo, and looked at their achievements....the ones that don't require an unlock don't seem all that fun.
I thought the Demo achievements would be really easy and the Soldiers achievements really hard to get.
So far, I'm sitting on 13 soldier achievements and 4 Demo achievements. This just serves to reinforce the fact I never play Demo, not even the update is enough to get me to play the class more.
But dammit I want the Eyelander. :P On the flip side, it's a very satisfying time to be a heavy - all the melee classes just let me top the scoreboard with ease.
Edit: How does this thread just not get shut down for getting so horrendously off topic every day? Or at least 3\4ths of the thread be jailed.
It's been shut down a dozen times but I think the mods realize that the shittiness will just spread to the rest of the forums if there isn't one thread to contain it.
Bah I hate to be so angry while I play I just look like a idiot I need to start turning my mic off when play.
I don't get it TF2 will be super fun for like 3 days (and it was) and then it all goes down hill I get killed by stupid shit (which I don't mind half the time it just always seems to happen) and I swear I have a different sword then everyone else. Or my head just loves coming off cause I get killed ridiculously fast by them and usually do awful with my own.
I also can only place teleports and do shitty shotgun damage hurrah!
The trick is medic to just throw TF2-style words pyro into every demoman is overpowered sentence. That way nobody can tell you're faking it heavies are whores.
the best thing is getting krit ubered at the perfect time when you didn't even know the team had a charged medic. but its only the best thing if youre a heavy.

The worst thing?
Being a scout, suddenly being ubered with no explanation, charging into the enemy, and the uber suddenly going away to a nearby soldier.

Fuuuuuck you medics who do this.
goes for any class
I hate the trick uber!
one hundred percent agreed
I have fallen many a time in battle due to a medic being like "imma start trying to uber two people then give up in 1.5 seconds"
i uber someone, then i see someone worked himself into a better position due to the confusion, and is causing more damage than my initial uber target at a more crucial position
the need that people feel to uber one dude is too prevalent if anything. more medics need to be willing to use an uber for defense with the goal of keeping as many dudes alive while defending against a push.
if you're pushing offensively its usually better to just keep it on one dude though yes.
If my team is losing, I start playing demoman. Suddenly, my team stops losing. Not that I am implying that Valve can get fucked for letting demomen stay they way they are while leaving pyros to eat shit, buuuuuuuut Valve can get fucked for letting demomen stay they way they are while leaving pyros to eat shit.

Defensively the point is moot
The problem is when you get an uber for a second so you charge into a fray of enemies and then the medic changes targets and you die
I like doublecross. As long as there is only one engineer. And even that is pushing it. Only reason one engineer is fine is because the most prevalent sentry position, on top of those stairs near the flag, can be rocketsniped. And you can rocket jump into that area and out of that area, and people won't be able to follow you.
Gorge ain't SO bad. But iowa is right, the last point is terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. Every door is a chokepoint which the attacking team can't get through despite always having the advantage of height.

The only bad thing I have noticed about the last point of Gorge is that there's spots around the point you can build sentry nests that I am fairly sure can't be attacked from out of range from any angle.

ffffffffffffffffffffffff
yeah but no one views ubers as defensive so they assume its cool to run in even though I was just trying to shield you long enough to get your useless ass back to a health back and then you can continue to be useless without having to wait 20 seconds.
Okay, there's only one reason I can't go full time on the Flare Gun.
Motherfucking SCOUTS. I can't chase them down for another burst, I have an incredibly hard time hitting them with the flaregun, using melee is out of the question, and they're fast enough to go find some health before they burn to death on their own.
You just can't fight them without a shotgun.
EDIT: I always try to not grab health packs when I have a Medic on me because someone else (like the medic) might need it soon, and I have a medic healing me already.

Maybe you can't. :J
And ZERO, I don't think you understand how much I hate demoman. It's not quantifiable.

Crashing problem.
Still there.
Isn't an overheat, defrag and verification didn't fix it, what's the next step in dealing with a TF2 that hard crashes every 20 minutes or so?
Update your drivers.
Normally I don't save scoreboards. This was an exception because of all the vitriol antipop and someone else spewed at me after the match.
Huh. Seems they are one month out of date.
Wonder why TF2 suddenly has a problem with the old ones. Oh well, downloading now.
No guarrentees it'll fix the issue.
But lo and behold, there's a set of drivers dated December 9th.

not like your sheeple mainstream threads

so i switch to him
nothing personal guys, just me being a pro gamer

It used to work pretty well but the loss of those couple seconds can wreck the push if dudes overestimate how long they've got left.
[edit]Also if you are a scout and you are ubered that should be your first indicator that something is wrong or about to go wrong

probably won't be able to play again until after xmas
also the engineer update will be the worst update ever
