Help finding an old Batman comic

Hey you guys, I haven't posted on the PA forums in months, but my anal retentive side is forcing me to go to any length to solve this problem.

I'm looking for a comic book. A specific issue. Or issues, but at least one for referencing. I thought asking here would be more apropos as I didn't feel comfortable creating a topic like this in the comic forum. When I was very young I had a few comics given to me. Perhaps half a dozen. A Sonic the Hedghog, a Spider-Man, and most importantly, a few Batman issues. I remember the Batman issues in particular to be really good and for the sake of nostalgia, I wanted to find them again, but in-depth googling has turned up absolutely nothing. There are no databases with records of any issues that fit what I remember. I know that the comics would be from about the very early to mid 90s in their release (I was born in January 1990), but I don't know what series they would be under, whether Detective Comics, Batman, or whatever. I thought I could turn to you guys in desperation. So I will describe what I remember in case anyone here by some insane chance knows what I'm talking about. Comic book canon-speak henceforth:

The first story sticks out clear in my mind. It was about Bruce Wayne going on a date with a woman and her young son. They go to a movie (He-Man, because I remember this woman's son pretending to be Greyskull). On the way back, they are mugged - the plot is deliberately set up so that it mirrors the same events that transpired when Bruce's own parents were mugged and killed. The thief gets away with their wallets, and the boy's baseball cap, but no one is hurt. Bruce apologizes to his date, who his consoling her son, saying that he has to go. Understandably, the woman is furious that Bruce is "abandoning" her and her son as they wait for the police. Of course, he leaves to change into his Batman suit, and he tracks the bad guy down, beating him up and getting the possessions back. He returns to where the boy is waiting, and gives the impressed boy his baseball cap back, along with his mother's possessions. The story ends back at Wayne Manor, where Bruce confides in Alfred, telling him that the woman refuses to talk to him, but at least, "no one was hurt".

(I'd like to point out that this was NOT part of the Zero Hour storyline, from what I've researched, but I do vaguely remember at the end of the issue, a preview saying that the next issue would focus on "an alternate take" on Batman's parents' death.)

The other story that I remember is much less fleshed out. In summary, it focused on Batman meeting Talia Al'Ghul and trying to foil the plans of Ras Al'Ghul, who had acquired a "Tesla Device" (which looks like a Van De Graaff generator). It concludes with Batman finding Ras in a cave after traveling with Talia by powerboat, and Batman smashes the device before Ras can use it .

Those are the two stories I remember. Nothing else. You guys have helped me on occasion before so if ANYONE remembers these comic books, please let me know, I'd like to slake the thirst of my childhood nostalgia.

A single bump, just in case, but I realize this is a pretty ridiculous request.

You might try asking in Graphic Violence. If anyone on the forum is going to be able to help you out, chances are they hang out there.
Before you start a new thread though, try checking some existing ones.
    Batman thread
    General Comics Questions thread
the "Help me, I'm new to comics" thread (Mostly about what's good to read, but may be able to answer your question, or at the least point you towards some quality books)

I'd recomend posting your search in the questions thread.
