Phenom II X3s, HD4650s, and WoW

My brother is in need of a new PC for "light gaming" - ie, playing WoW. I WoW basically will run on any machine at all, it's just a question of the detail and framerate.

Currently he's got an Athlon 64 3200+, 1GB, and a 7800GS (?) and he's considering a prebuilt HP box with a Phenom II X3 425, 4GB, and HD4650 (likely DDR2). From what I've gathered on the processor it's actually a pretty solid chip for gaming, but I question if an HD4650 would be enough to give him solid framerates (35-40fps) at 1680x1050. Yes, he could upgrade, but I want to know if that's a good base system until that point, or if he'll feel like he didn't get much of an upgrade for his money (CDN$600 for the full machine.)

tl;dr how well will a Phenom II X3 425 with an HD4650 run WoW at 1680x1050?

Looking for a DX:HR OnLive code for my kid brother.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.

An Athlon 64 3200+ would do fine with WoW. I played with a 4000+ for years. WoW does not chew on the processor.

The most important thing to WoW is 4GB of RAM and a somewhat decent video card. An HD4650 should be fine. He may not always get 40+ in heavy raiding just because all the particle bullshit they've added in the last expansion, but it will be smooth for 98% of the ride.
