King Arthur looks a lot like what Warhammer Mark of Chaos should have been.
Yeah I agree - when I finally get some server space sometime next year i'll tell you all about it.... assuming I haven't thrown my computer out the window in frustration first.

I have mixed feelings about Jade Empire: on one hand, the battle system is really nice, but on the other hand the characters keep going on about crap no one in the world could possibly care about. Yeah, it's a Bioware game, but I don't remember there being this much boring dialogue in ME, although ME is a newer game so I guess they're learning from their mistakes?
It's a good price for the game, though, and I'm sure I'll get more than enough enjoyment out of it.
Jade empire was fun at the time, but it definitely suffers from bioware morality. I also definitely don't recommend starting with white demon, as you will get your butt kicked. If you do want to use it, make ample use of heavenly wave until you get the thunder shock support.
For the morality, either you are a saint, or you are a huge dick. Which doesn't make as much sense given how the represented the two paths. They really should have gone with three paths, open palm for saintly, closed fist for neutral(be the only caring about the strong, but without pissing in peoples faces), and something else for being eating babies/being only about making money.
So I just downloaded a game. Went to start it, got the following error:
'This game is currently unavailable.
Please try again at another time.'
It's Fallen Earth. It's been available on Steam for awhile now. What can I do to fix this?
*EDIT* Never mind, apparently Steam needs to be run as an Administrator for it to launch. Oy vey.

Great.. Steam replied to my email and removed the regional block on my account so that I could buy games while on vacation, but the sale on Killing Floor had already passed. Well I guess the positive thing is that for future sales I won't have to worry.
has anyone played Harvest: Massive Encounter? it's 75% off on Steam atm [making it $3ish] but not on front page.
It's a:
Harvest: Massive Encounter is an award-winning real-time strategy game with battles of epic proportions and a unique style of resource management and exploration. Build power plants, mineral harvesters and defense towers and make sure they have sufficient energy to fend off endless hordes of evil aliens. The game offers a vast array of possible strategies with these simple rules, and will compel you to try new and better base designs every time.
If I remember correctly, Harvest actually got talked up a little bit around here when it first came out, kind of a second-in-the-running to Defense Grid as far as TD games go. I've never played it myself, though.
Here's to hoping we get some good sales today. After the excitement of RF:G for 10$, none of the following sales have been stuff I wanted/didn't already have.

Yeah, you're right. I remember there being a few people on here raving about it. At $2.49, it's hard to say no.
Ugh. Picked up Mr.Robot and apparently it doesn't like my particular keyboard (the Saitek gamer keyboard with the aux keypad). From what I gather on Moonpod's website, it's the volume controls on the keyboard that cause the damn problems and they're aware of it at least. Basically the game is unplayable for me at the moment because it's constantly stuck in a down motion input loop. All menus trail to the bottom and my lil' dood juit goes to the bottom of the screen and stays there. Just be warned!
I only noticed just now there is an 'Update' tab in the My Games list and a News link appears whenever there's an update and disappears when you click it.
Only 1 hour and 44 minutes to go until the next round of updates. Lets pray for something magical.
In the meantime, it thought it might be fun if everyone posts what games the have picked up since the holiday sale started. I'll go first:
I am planning on picking up at least one or two more games before the sale is over. So far I am definitely getting my money's worth out of Luxor 3 - I'm 7.2 hours into it and it only cost me 99 cents.
I succumbed to buying Jade Empire, after considering purchasing it all day. I finally broke down with an hour and a half to go on the sale countdown. I sat there staring at the countdown clock trying to decide whether to buy it or not. That all seeing, all knowing countdown clock was judging me, taunting me, daring me to walk away from buying the game.

Torchlight
Prototype
Bioshock
Silent Hunter pack
I plan on getting Tropico 3 but waiting until Jan. 3 to see if it gets a one day deal first. I also might be tempted to get Fallout 3 GOTY if it gets a bigger one day deal. I have mixed feelings about Bethesda games. I like the worlds they create but hate their leveling and character progression systems. Fallout might be more tolerable to me since it doesn't use the TES rules.
Edit: I have no idea when I'll have time to play all those with so many good games coming in January. Guess I'll stockpile Steam games for the summer gaming drought.
Torchlight
Saints Row 2
Borderlands
Deus Ex
PopCap Collection
Alien Shooter Collection
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
KOTOR
STALKER
Jade Empire
Hearts of Iron 3
Defense Grid
Battlefield 2
Hoping on daily deals for Tropico 3, Fallout 3 GOTY and Call of Juarez 2. Those are the ones I'm really interested in.
So far I've bought:
King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame (gift)
Puzzle Indie Pack
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
Company of Heroes Gold
Mr. Robot
Complete Shooter Pack
King's Bounty: Armored Princess
Serious Sam HD (RoW)
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Indigo Prophecy
Space Quest Collection
King's Quest Collection
Outrun2006 Coast 2 Coast
Really trying to prevent myself from buying games I already own on disc. I already own STALKER, but with all the mods and stuff, having a downloadable version is just much less of a headache. I'm considering Jade Empire, but... eh. This would be the third time I've bought the game.

Oh it would be fine except for the fact that the servers hae been 'busy' for 2 straight days.
Awesome.

To my knowledge it hasn't and I am willing to bet on my knowledge.
I really hope it is, since it's one of the £15 games and is 50% off already. £3.75 would be nice.
Especially when it crashes mid mission and you lose all your saves

Nah, the Giant Bomb quicklook was more than enough of that game for me.

I'm glad I played that. It was brilliant.
Oo\ Ironsizide
Brilliant move.
If they had a wootoff, I think I would have to call in sick if I couldn't purchase from work.
Woops.
I suggest you wait until Jan 3.
Has anyone played it? Does using the "show solution" button prevent you from getting all the stars?

I thought I already saw it on here somewhere. It's in a simple sortable table. No flashy colors or designs. Shouldn't draw any attention at work.
You know how my brain functions!
