And the year 2009 goes out with a.... wimper.

The only good stuff this week looks to be Divinity II: Ego Draconis on 360 and PC.

And Borderlands DLC which I'm strangely only showing for 360? Wonder if that's a mistake.


That WiiWare game which is supposed to come out, The Magic Obelisk, looks like it could be a fun extremely lighthearted puzzle platformer or some such.

I couldn't think of any other awards! (Trying to pin down the "best week" for each console was too subjective)

You know, Divinity 2 really isn't that bad. It's nothing special, but I thought it was pretty fun while it lasted. (It's been out in Europe for a while now, which is how I know).

What I especially liked was how...

The game manages to make you feel more like a real Overlord than the Overlord games do.

The Borderlands DLC is not a mistake. The last one hit X-Box 360 first, the PS3 second, and the PC about a month later. It will probably be released for the PS3 sometime next week, and the PC sometime in mid-January.

Been looking forward to Divinity 2, but as it got more and more delayed I've acquired a large pile of games (including Dragon Age) I'll be completing first.

For EU, it's possible they might re-release the game as stock doesn't seem to get resupplied at retailers and the US version supposedly includes substantial fixes/changes.

I'm buying Divinity II after having enjoyed the demo. I thought that the previous Divinity games were not all that interesting but this one seems neat.

Whoever gets past the tutorial of Divinity 2 is a better man than I. The whole section just really turned me off.
