I'm still holding out for a patch that makes trying to knife someone while having the marker out ends up with the person tripping and gutting themselves.
I think I've discovered a new appreciation for the M16. The main thing it has over the FAMAS is that the bursts are closer together, allowing me to lay down more sustained fire. It also gives you a better chance of survival should your first burst miss.
I'm gonna see how it does Blinged with a silencer and red dot/holo.
Speaking of Holo, I think I understand why the red dot is more prevalent. It seems that because of the reticule being bigger, you have a tendency to fire even though the center of the reticule hasn't settled on the target yet. This does not happen with the red dot. Either the dot is on target, or it's not.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.
Anyone wanna do some spec ops? I'll be on in like 10min just put your gamertag here and i'll add ya if ya want to give it a go!....or i'll just keep playing ground war and die a lot. Both sound fun!
Yeah, I like their fix for the Marker glitch: Instead of remove the marker speed bonus, nerf Lightweight!
I think they're trying to figure out a way to cut back on Witchery. Because I'm pretty sure this wasn't an intended playstyle, and it's pretty damn prevalent (seems like almost half of the players in some games).
Personally, I think there are a few things you can do:
- Kill care package speed boost
- Make Marathon and Lightweight not "stack" (sprint speed is still normal, or not as much faster)
- Reduce Commando distance boost
I can't think of anything else that wouldn't involve adding a penalty to a Perk (which isn't consistent) or adding a pause after sprinting before you can knife (which wouldn't be preferable either).
In other news, dual '87 use has become almost nonexistent. I see people with singles but that is about it.
Seems like the dual-1887 crowd has either moved to dual G18s or dual Rangers. Wonder what made them not nerf the Ranger along with the 1887...either way, I think Akimbo as a concept is something they really should have tested more.
Because the Rangers have next to no range. They are balanced fine. Glocks could use a range nerf too. I hate those insecurity sprayers.
I wouldn't mind commando having a large range and becoming a sort of bayonet charge. The character rushes the target and doesn't lock on to anything. But you can't really change direction. So it would work more like the Targe in TF2 than the halo powersword crap we have now.
Funny, I miss half of the close range Commando boosts that I attempt. It works great if they are just at the edge of the range but if they are rounding a corner at me I can dash and completely whiff it.
Man, after about level 55, grinding out the EXP is such a fucking pain.
"Ok, let's see, I need over 50k exp till my next level. Hm. Let's see if I'm almost done with any challenges to speed that up."
*goes through list*
"Alright, I can get 80 more kills with slight of hand, or 40 more kills with my m16. For 10k exp each. God damnit."
I almost wish I could find a game where I could just run around with marathon and lightweight for the whole time, since I'm only on like level 3 of those challenges.

It's more bearable after you Prestige. But I do hope they have a double experience weekend or something soon. That would be nice.
Heck, I wish you got double experience during Prestige. It'd make it a lot more bearable.
e: Hey if you threw Sleight of Hand on that M16 you can get 20,000 pretty quick. 40 kills ain't nothin.

Last night I was in a lobby where I think I was the only mother fucker who wasn't using UAV, Care Package, Emergancy Air drop. In a map of Afgan we had 3 fucking emergancy air drops and 2 care packages incoming simultaniously. Then after that I just mutter an Oh shit when I heard "Apache incoming! AC-130 is in the air. Hostile Predator missle incoming. AC-130 is in the air. Apache in..Hostile Predator missle incomming"
I may have shit myself in anger and frustration as I desprately ran for cover before being spawn gibbed.
I'm doing surprisingly well with the grenadier class I made. FAMAS with grenade launcher, thumper, and scavenger to get more shots.
Maybe I'm just getting lucky. Who knows?
there's killcams you watch where people shoot a RPG into a random space with Danger Close. it hits nowhere near you, but thanks to danger close, you are instantly KO'd
Hey donhonk, thanks for the invite. I was playing with a large party at the moment and was going to jump off after one or two more. Which I did! Next time.

Back in the day, bucko, we just had an A and a B button... and we liked it.
Oh man I played against the most annoying team ever. 3 or so had the same clan tags. We were playing Domination of Rundown and I spawned on the A side. One of their guys on the C side went to the shack in the back and started lobbing m203 rounds over the building right into the A point area. He had Danger Close so no one could cap A. The best part was that he had One Man Army so he just kept reloading and continually lobbing them over. It was the most irritating thing. I left promptly.

It's called TDM on Wasteland. That's pretty much all that combo is good for anyways.

Hahahaha, they were probably goons. Pro Piping ftw.
I'm in the midsts of a horrible kill streak drought, I got hot last weekend and called in my first few chopper gunners ever within a day, haven't had a predator in days now

I have days like that. Don't get too sprinty. Hold back a bit and you should be able to get a few more.

I was so proud of myself when I learned how to hit points A and C on wastelend from near point B.
Also what helped me a bunch in CoD4 was learning to sight up your gun when you round corners or come into high traffic areas. You need to know the maps well for this to be helpful. Also bringing up the sights on long stretches. If you see someone way off in the distance it's safe to assume they already have their bead on you.

Yeah playing the maps enough made me realize the common places where people hang out, so when I turn a corner my sights are already on that spot.
But still I maintain that the most important skill in MW2 is being able to out-flank the enemy.

Also a very good thing to learn to do. Something I need to work on. It pays off if you can do it. It might take you an extra minute to get to the action but you'll have a distinct advantage when you get there.

Yeah, knowledge of maps and their common routes, camping spots and other places on the map where people could shoot you from are all important things to keep in mind.
Frequent use of the sights and flanking is also good advice.
One bit of advice I never seem to follow is knowing by instinct to melee when an enemy is in range. Use of the Riot Shield is making me better at this, though.
Played a bit of FFA to get back into the groove, had some great games with Riot Shield + Throwing Knife and the F2000, of all things. Go-go bullet hose!
I've gotten a lot better at knifing when someone is right in front of me. I used to try and hip fire like a madman which always got me killed. I am also getting into the habit of tanking a few bullets for a guaranteed knife kill. Sometimes I tank too many but it usually pays off and gets me the last couple kills for a Harrier.

I still don't have this quite back to being instinctual, though it's getting there. Still too much hip firing and then I die to a stabbing.
Which is a little weird given how often I end up with a Most Stabbings (or whatever) accolade. Then again, those generally come about from my efforts to flank the other team, which continue to improve as I learn these maps. Humbug to delayed learning curves thanks to waiting for Christmas

My brother purchased him a copy of this on the PS3 today. He is loving it so far. Most likely because he's so used to SOCOM and that sucks balls.
Yeah don't sprint* you don't have anywhere to be real quick, I always crouch walk everywhere if I'm not witching/dakkaing.
*unless you're witching.
I disagree. I sprint all the time to try and consistently outflank the enemy on certain maps, and it seems to work out pretty well for me.
Yeah, I mainly sprint when either 1) I'm on a long straightaway and I'm reasonably confident no enemies will pop out or 2) I'm moving across a danger area. But sometimes you just plain do have somewhere to be real quick, particularly on non-TDM gametypes. Man, they say somebody is capping B and my team says nobody's there, you can bet your sweet ass I'm sprinting if there's any chance I can get there in time.
And finally got my M4A1 Mastery...that took forever. This means now I can take off FMJs on all my M4 builds, and just work on slowly getting the two Prestige weapon challenges filled out. That, and I can shift focus to my UMP45.
I just went 54-4 on Domination Derail. The amount of bitching by the enemy in the post-game lobby team was epic. I was moving all around the map, but apparently that's camping and I suck. To be fair, though, I did guard the A point for a short period of time, but it's Domination! Having a proper balance between defending and attacking is key to victory, not just shuffling everywhere like mindless zombies. If you leave a point undefended, it's going to get taken. Gah!

Do you have One Man Army yet? If so, try replacing Scavenger and your Thumper with it for a couple games.
You might need to get the Pro version for it to be as effective as I find it, I didn't get noobtube-happy until I already had OMA at pro.
Oh, Danger Close is a given for the Michael Bay class.
I'm still rank 15, but I'll definatley check those out when I have them.

PA MW2 is nearly at full capacity!
If I'm going to make another meta-tag, should I just go with something simple like 'A PA MW 2 Clan'? Suggestions welcome.
Anyway, I may hop back on today, but you can bet I'll be looking forward to playing with you guys again in the near future.

B was held.
Nobody on the other team used Cold Blooded?
I thought prestiging was bad, going from 360 to PC makes me lose all my titles and emblems too.
