Wasn't there an old PA strip where they stood upon a chart of web traffic, the PA line twice as high as the PVP line, and Gabe said "I can see our house from here"?
Didn't Google Wave come out and become fuck-all useless except for only very specific things?
Wasn't it supposed to be a GMail killer, or hell, the climax of textual communication?
Wave is still in the invite-only beta stage, and it's pretty awesome except nobody is using it.
As for search, this kind of reminds me of the old days when you'd go through three or four search engines (with names nobody remembers anymore like Lycos and Altavista) because each one had slightly different but still sorta useful results for whatever you were looking for.
1.4m a month is still a lot. Sites go through peaks and valleys and there isn't always an explanation. Plus this has been kind of a a down two years where people are busy looking for work, preparing to be fired, or trying to keep their job.

I know who my new search provider is. :rotate:
If Google doesn't buy them or do something equivalent, then it could be the beginning of the end.
It'll be some years before Google can buy Microsoft. :P
Google aren't buying MS anytime soon.
Google may always be around because of stuff like GMail and Ads, but I think their reign as the top search engine will end in a matter of years.

It still needs a few features to be useful, and those features are planned.
Maybe it had to do with the server migration or something?
