This was a little more cut-down than I was expecting, but I guess it was a much quicker writing process for these two. I still enjoyed it, but what I really liked about the podcasts was that they gave you the whole process from headlines to punch with almost everything along the way, including tracks that didn't go anywhere and stories about their family. Maybe there just wasn't that stuff in this one to put in and I'm being overly critical, but these were the shows I was most looking forward to and I was disappointed with how short it was.
Also I still can't agree with Gabe on the back. My experience with retail is, I'm sure, different, given that I'm in the UK where that kind of holiday violence doesn't really exist, but most of the time we were overstocked and understaffed. At the start of the day stuff would be put out, and from opening onwards it was a struggle to restock all day. If something wasn't on the shelf, the chance was that it was in the warehouse. Even with the odd hot kids toy we had that sold out immediately, it was still always worth a check, just in case you get into a situation like Gabe said he did where something was there that he said wasn't.

The only criticism I have is that the pan across the comic at the end should be a little slower so you have more time to look at it. (Yes I know it's in the archives but that's so many clicks.)
p.s. both this and the first blamimations episode didn't load first time for me when i watched them today, i needed to refresh before the player showed up at all (this is in opera 10.10)

my feelings
Mine too
It was still funny and I liked it but I really did enjoy the long unrelated tangents they went off on in the podcasts
It really showed how a comic happened, not abridged in any way

I imagine that most of the time having two people work on something like a comic strip might end up being better than one guy working on it alone. You can see how they are able to just bounce ideas off each other and inspire each other with idea just through having a conversation.

I don't think this had the same punch as the podcasts, frankly. I like hearing the full blown discussions and tangents. That's where I find the appeal of hearing the writing process.
i dunno man i just had a long conversation with myself about a cloud computing concept that i thought of which likely already exists anyway and seems like something google could do as a pretty logical step somewhere down the road
because it is just that good
although a second person wouldnt hurt. maybe they could know about programming or computers or something

that was in response to geek
i wasnt going to post it but i didnt close it and forgot about it for a while and then saw it again and clicked send and in the meantime you posted
so that should clear things up and the post will now make perfect sense
Yeah, I want to clarify that while I did dig this, I really hope it is not a replacement for the podcasts forever. Any editing removes a certain aspect of the podcast that I really enjoy and also the podcasts are longer and content is a good thing
Yeah, I liked this, but to be consumable as a web video that I would guess is meant to draw people into the comic and the business as a whole (hence the couple of minute length), you are forced to edit out the natural flow and back and forth of their conversations.
In the podcasts, you hear the comic's concept blossom into something full and in these, the comic just sort of appears or is there already.
Still, my wife and I enjoyed watching it and I think it's a good thing to help expand presence.
Yeah, I know it's not as complete as the podcasts were. We've got lots of extra footage though and I think that stuff will end up on the DVD release of the series when that happens.
Using Opera 10.10 the player comes up, I click play and the little message comes up that "the movie will play after the advertisement" but it just sits there at the little preview image for the video. If I click it it takes me to the Assassin's Creed II site.
Worked fine in Firefox though.
This is also the first time Ive had a problem. The new player worked worlds better for the other two or so videos.
