Not sure why they sent out another newsletter with "CORRECTION" in the title. I don't see any changes.

Also, Green Day Rock Band comes out on June 8th. I sense a majority of people are gonna wait for it to drop down to the bargain bins before considering it.

Hell, I'm still waiting for that to happen with Lego Rock Band, and there's about 12 songs I want off of it.

Check Target, I got it on clearance for 12.50 like, a couple weeks ago. If any Targets near you still have a copy, should be on clearance. All the Targets around here had it on clearance at the same time.

They switch that rack up like every week though

I was in there last week and the only game on clearance for the HD consoles was the newest Tiger Woods

That's why I check Target's clearance rack every time I am in the store, you never know what you'll find. Though Lego Rock Band was on the clearance rack for like a month before finally hitting 12.50 and selling out at my local targets. On 360 that is, they haven't cleared out the PS3 or Wii ones yet. I should have grabbed The Beatles Rock Band bundle when it was 125, I tried waiting for it to go cheaper but they sold it. Most recently I have seen Rock Band 1 drum kits for 20.

Also, I picked up the Them Crooked Vultures album, and now I want it released for Rock Band. Time to hit the song request page!

I'm pretty sure I want it, but anecdotal evidence may sway me otherwise

Here's something to consider (I don't have this):

I weighs seven fucking pounds. GameStop just dropped the price of the B:RB guitars to $80 in-store. Get one of those and modify it to meet your needs.

The amount you spend on that guitar is about the same it is to continue replacing the plastic ones over the same period.

Of course, when the cost is upfront like that, people take a second glance.

Is that Fender the actual "this is a Fender with the guts taken out and the RB parts put in" controller that was talked about back before RB2 launched?

I couldn't forgive myself paying that much for a controller knowing I'd be about halfway to owning a MIM Fender Strat instead. Then again, I'm dying to own a real guitar, but that's just me.

Yeah, it is a very straight ahead rock song, with a very basic drum beat. No crazy ass time changes, polyrhythms, or out of the blue tempo shifts.

The production on the track isn't half bad though.

Dang. So if I wanted to get an RB1/2 bundle with the drums that don't suck, and be able to use the drums on the PC as well, I couldn't? Cause from what I understand, RB1 has wired drums but they suck, and RB2 has decent drums but they are only wireless.

You could theoretically get 360 RB2 drums and the wireless bridge that MS made. But the bridge is hard to find and I don't know if it would be compatible with non-MS made hardware.

Otherwise, pretty much what you suggest.

    Yes.

Also Devin Townsend, specifically as he's touring and gaining a lot of popularity very fast at the moment.

I also saw him live. Seriously, nothing is ever going to top that concert for me.

I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER! AND IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!

He's said himself on twitter that's he's been trying to get in contact with Harmonix for a while, plus at the Between the Buried and Me/Cynic/DT show in Charlotte I told him about the Rock Band Network in person! He said that he would love to be in Rock Band and is going to look into getting in on RBN.

Speaking of Cynic, I also have confirmation from Tymon, one of their guitarists, that they are working on getting some material in Rock Band.

I will cry when both of these things happen.

I missed out on speaking to him because I'm an idiot and didn't realise I could after the concert, however I can tell you I wouldn't have thought of that anyway. :P

So it appears that WMG is being extra vigilant about copyrighting videos for X songs. So the concept of chart/song previews for those is going to be difficult to come by.

That said, except for Blue Spark, they're the hardest two and three dot guitar songs I've ever played. And with no solos, getting Gold Stars will be a pretty decent challenge.

Also, the free Little Fish song is pretty bad. It makes Headphones On sound like a Grammy winner.

Well with that $40 i could have gotten a lot of DLC or another guitar i found on sale at the Microsoft store.

PS: I'm just starting out with Rock Band, so as far as innitial investment goes, any money i can save is worth it for other things i need to buy for Rock Band.
