Any chance you are running an SLI/Crossfire video card setup?
No,running a single 5850.
Hmm, defragging is always a good idea if you haven't already. Are you on the EU servers? I think there are separate clients, so I don't know if I'm any help.

I'm on EU yes. And my PC is constantly defragged.
It's the game. I play Bad Company 2 at highest settings DX11 full AA and AF at 70fps.
I thought about redownloading the client, but I don't think I can be bothered.
Also, the forums are FULL of people saying how craptastic it runs.

Probably won't have time to play this game anyhow, but after noticing that there's now a release date I was curious to see info from the beta. Sounds like the launch is gonna be crap (which typically = death in the MMO genre), but hopefully the devs can get things together within a month or two after launch (good luck). Anyone actually found any strong positives about the game thus far?
I was in-game and said "wow, this is running really bad".
I was immediately told by about 30 people how I am a dumb ass kiddie with a POS PC,how I should shut the fuck up and how the "game is only 30% done you idiot, this is a BETA!".
I then told them that the release date was next month.
No one answered.
The only people playing regularly now are the die-hards. Extreme die-hards.
Honestly, Seneku, did RTW hire out the angstiest high school grads they could fine? Does anyone on the community team have any sort of real PR experience, or even a PR degree?
Yeah! The funny thing was, it only confirmed what you had just said! Rather than address the actual questions in the thread, it's easier to tap out three words to make yourself look like a jackass.
I suspect that RTW is trying to make some sort of virtual world or Second Life clone in which RTW currency would be used across APB and other games they have made alone with created content. Plus their intro logo thing features virtual people emoting and it just doesn't seem very APBish...
I really don't understand their Second Life slant. I guess I'm in the wrong demographic for designing fake T-Shirts hours on end. However, designing your own Theme song is the best thing ever.
Alright not second life, a better example would be something called, multiverse? or some shit.
It was like second life but the idea was you can use the engine to make whatever the hell you wanted, and at the same time the company was creating multiple universes to play around in, all with different themes. There was the social world that was just second life minus all the porn, medieval world, western, etc.
I think cynic is trying to say they are doing the same thing with their RTW currency, by having a slew of games that all share the RTW currency, so you can some how make money and spend it in any of their games.
The bro is just talking about the money, nothin' else. so if my example didn't do nothing for you, if second life had like 3 or 4 more lives that were all separate games or whatever, but there was real world currency that would stay with your account across games.
I really am quite scared for APB guys. I really want to play it when it goes live, but something says in 4 or 5 months, it is going to be dumped into the bargain bin and have a good number of patches to the overall system. Basically, I feel like a cock for not making it a day 1...
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
The main problem with RTWpoints in the game was never the thing they took away, as obnoxious and potentially economy-killing as it was.
Basically, it's becoming more and more clear that the game has an item shop, where you need to spend real money for gear to make you competitive. They just have a really clever way of implementing/hiding that item shop. Unbalanced gear is provided for free to large clans that do well, and they're encouraged to sell that gear ingame, but for RTWpoints rather than ingame currency. In fact, there's very little reason for them to sell for ingame currency, since they're also given free money. Hooray.
Now if they rebalance things by overhauling a certain game system that's totally broken, then maybe I'll get interested again. For now the game and business model is pretty damn evil, an unholy trinity of monthly (hourly lol) payments, possible microtransactions, and a cash shop (that allows older established clans to play for free even, at the cost of everyone else).
You can get more powerful weapons for real money (in the form of RTW points)? I thought it had been established some time ago that real money for in-game power is a bad idea.

I was pushing 40-60fps most of the time and I rarely go the feeling that "Aw, fucking lag, I shot him!"
You do win some and you do lose some though. That's just how the shootouts go. Driving was pretty smooth.

So they are going to make a second life clone but its developer made content instead of people.
No furries though, so it won't be a second life clone.
You're all like "Hey man, have this sandwich. It'll really do you some good."
He's all like "Nah, I'm OK. I don't need anything to eat."
I completed their Beta survey for what its worth.
this is the best analogy so far.
I dont really see the second life hooks, APB is to second life as a picture of food is to the sensation of being full.

I never said I was smart.

Sounds like they're trying to force their game to become EVE.

Still some weird stutter and audio cracks here and there, but apart from that much better.
EVE has one thing going for it that APB doesn't: you can actually kill griefers.
