Xbox live question (also, linking)

Ok, so I'm relatively new to the whole 360 experience. I am going over to a buddy's tomorrow. He has high speed net, but not a gold account. I still have my free month of Gold, so I figured I could log into his Xbox and we can do some online gaming.

Now, what do I need to use my profile on his 360? I have a newer Jasper with the internal memory, so I should probably move my profile to my memory card or hard drive, right?

Also, are there any games that would allow us to play on the same screen and online? (L4D or TF2?) Or even could we system link and play online together? (I doubt that would work with only one gold account.)

Since multiple TV is definitely not a problem, would I be better off just bringing my 360?

I've got a bad case of lovin' you.

Easiest to just have your profile on a memory card. That way you don't have to "reclaim" it to his 360 and then reclaim it back when you get home.

SOME games allow a guest to play online with you(splitscreen), but most of the newer ones don't. And generally they can't join you in ranked games even if it allows guests.

I know that Halo 3 and Unreal Tournament 3 allow you to play split-screen online (Halo 3 allows 4 people, UT3 only allows 2).
