I always kill warrior first if hes there. WW does too much damage and is nearly impossible for melee to avoid without doing 0 dps. I mean if you are all ranged then maybe its not an issue, but I would rather kill him through 1 or 2 shaman heals than have to deal with that WW damage.
Seems like more and more healers as using thier backup healing talents to main heal nub dungeons. I think I wanna learn to do Enh healing on my shaman.
What are some of your guys (or were) favourite quick Dalies to do while grinding for epic flying? It seems the only viable way for me to make money unless I grind up mining and then ever a epic flyer would make that all the better.
The reason I ask is because I am now in possession of the bronze drake (everyone passed... I ain't letting it go to waste!) and well I need epic flying to fly the damn thing!
You can make a lot of money doing random dungeons, but only if you're a tank (or queuing with a tank), and only if you rarely wipe (otherwise you'll spend all your reward money on repair bills). If you're not a tank or good buddies with one, you'll have to do something else in between queue pops. Definitely do at least one per day for your two frost badges, though. And if you have no use for Triumph badges, you can turn them into epic gems. Another thing you can do to get a quick epic gem is to win Wintergrasp once per week and trade in the ~10,000 honor you get for an epic gem.
Do tournament dailies. If you're a champion, it's worth like 200g per full set of them. Plus while you're flying around doing them you can also do the King of the Mountain daily in Ymirheim, which is 13g for pressing the 3 key a couple times. If you're already revered or better with Sons of Hodir, you can do those daiiles, too, they're pretty good money and I don't know if very many people are even bothering to do them anymore, it's definitely not the PvP battlezone it used to be. The cooking daily is often very easy money, and the fishing one is potentially the most lucrative daily in the game depending on what you get in your sack of fishing treasures (though it might not be very quick depending on which one you get).
And actually, if you already have mining but still need to level it up, grinding it up might be on par or better with doing dailies, considering the prices of some of the low-level metals.
Well that is certainly most helpful. Thank you.
I'm 2 days away from Champion. It's so annoying that you can't just get it all done it one day but they need to keep people playing.
ICC10 Festergut and Rotface tonight it should be fun!
I stopped playing WoW about 4 months ago. Then I get some emails, saying my account was suspended for abuse. D'oh! Hacked in absentia. Couple questions, if anyone can answer:
1. Was the info hacked on Blizz's end? I can't think of how it would happen on my end, if I haven't logged in in months.
2. What should I do with the 400 pieces of titanium ore+ and 200+ primals of varying types that the hacker seems to have acquired? Is that stuff still valuable? Would it be ethical to keep the fruits of someone else's labor?

1. not likely, what is more likely is that the hacker brute forced your password or similar. I know a couple people who haven't played in very long periods of time that got hacked for no reason. They get emails about how their account is merged with a battle.net account and panic.
2. sell that shit! it's not like some chinese guy was farming all that ore. that was a bot that got all that ore.
I don't think brute force is very likely. More probable is that he got a keylogger somewhere a while before he left the game, and the hackers only got around to doing it later on.
Brute forcing account passwords is extremely inefficient compared to posting, say, a single link on the WoW forums. Anyone who's interested in hacking accounts to make money is not going to do the former.

I just got an authenticator. I thought it was shoddy because it got badly scratched the first time I kept it in my pocket, but then the scratch became a bubble and I realized it was just that protective film they put on stuff. So far, no complaints besides the button. I doubt it needs the button. My VPN keyring doesn't have a button; it just displays the number all the time. I think it is just there so they don't get support tickets asking how to turn the thing off.

Do you suppose it saves battery power? How long are they supposed to last?
Assuming no one will really care, I will spoiler this.
I think I might be done with WoW until Cataclysm. I've pretty much progressed as far as I can with my main since I can't raid on my computer. At least not reliably, as some fights just crash my computer entirely. I don't want to go through the hassle of gearing my lock as the 15 minute queues are irritating and none of my friends want to chain run heroics anymore. And then I don't want to level any of my other alts. So I have nothing to do really except try for more achievements. But that's getting old, too.
Basically just me talking about my lack of desire to play WoW.

My VPN keyring is supposed to last several years and its display is always on.

Hopefully you can find youself a better machine by the time Cataclysm hits.
Not likely. Is there some huge graphic update they're going to do? Because I can handle the general game world just fine. Only in raids with a bunch of different effects fly around does it get bad.
Anyways, it's probably good to get out of the habit now anyways, since I plan on going back to school as soon as I can. Where I'll feel super old and out of touch. Few years and I'll be 30, and just now getting around to art school. Sheesh.
I hate tanking while leveling. On the one hand, it's wonderful getting random instances 15 minutes earlier. But on the other hand, I still haven't reached the defense cap, and each level moves it further out of reach. Makes for rather interesting moments.
It's virtually impossible to reach the defense cap while leveling, don't worry about it.

Ugh, what is with people now?
I've been leveling a mage alt and hit 80 yesterday and right now i'm doing about 2.5-3k dps in 5mans and 3k+ in 10mans, but I was kicked from Naxx10 for only doing 3.5k~ on the bosses?
Why do people get their panties in such a bunch over 3.5k dps in Naxx10? People were clearing it a year ago just fine only doing 1.5-2k
Who would put their lance in their bank? Destroy that shit, there's racks all over the fucking place to get a new one when you need it.
I just leave them in my bags, Its not like I have 34ish bag slots free. :P
That includes my tankgear too.

Actually, it's probably because you can do 5k DPS as any class with gear the game gives to you free these days. Running Naxx is all well and good, but there's easily-acquired gear from triumph badges that renders it obsolete. The only reason I can think of for hitting Naxx nowadays is either a) Weekly Raid Boss or b) achievements. Go do heroics and get your tier9.

Only, not so much. What classes are going to easily reach 5k dps short of 4t9? Getting that gear is going to take quite a while, and the point of running Naxx is triumph badges for obtaining said gear.

Or he was doing his weekly to get more badges to get more gear.

Well I wouldn't be running naxx for gear :P I was wanting it for the badges mainly. I've only been 80 for 8 hours /played with this toon, and i'm past the 100 triumph badges mark from all the heroics i've done yesterday and today (Just got my 2nd T9).
Its still retarded to get kicked from a Naxx10 run over that :P

It's still ridiculous that they would kick him since his DPS was perfectly fine for doing the instance he was in (and considering he's a fresh 80).
If it was too low for completing the instance it's understandable but it's a dick move since the content is trivial either way.

Heroics are still faster badges/time than Naxx, if all you want is badges.

Oh I don't have to worry about anything. See, I just died to a crit and it's the rest of my party that has to worry.
See, I'm expressing hate. The fact crit cap is impossible to hit while leveling doesn't suddenly change my feelings about it. Just waiting on Cataclysm to remove defense entirely.

But I've done so many heroics yesterday and today I wanted a bit of a change of pace.
Ah well this guy will get geared enough with time. This was my very first WoW toon I made, over 2 years ago, and its really cool to finally see him hit 80 and be fairly progressed (maxed herb/script).
Just got into an Ony25 so lets hope that goes well...

Unless it's the weekly raid and the boss you have to down isn't that far in. Getting five frost/five triumph for killing Patchwerk is nice given how trivial he is now.
It's incredibly well-done. I am not exaggerating when I say it feels like an expansion-grade addition to the game.
And I just watched the Wrath trailer again. Hearing Arthas talk and then, at the end, listening to it switch over to Dr. Claw. Breaks my heart. It really does.

the only criticism i've heard is that it reduces the amount of socialising going on, but that's more of a personal thing for some people and not a real criticism.

In Naxx, the only bosses that can be a weekly raid boss is the first boss of each wing, so it'll always be "not too far in"

No shit. Go inside, turn right OR left. You literally can't get to a mount without passing a lance rack.
People know this, right? ToC has lance racks all around the arena.
Well that is certainly most helpful. Thank you.

Blizzard needs to add bots.
The only reason anyone talked in Heroic Groups is cause they needed to organize.
