I got a new 360 elite and want to get all of my saves from my 20 gig hard drive to the 120. I'd rather not get the transfer cable, and was hoping I could just copy saves onto a memory card, and then onto the new hard drive. And then since my profile is on a memory card can I just download everything onto the new hard drive with no problems?
Also, can I switch between either hard drive on either 360 and they'll work fine? I want to use the 120 gig for all of my gaming stuff, and the old 20 gig for movies, so I want to be able to switch between both hard drives on both systems.

Swapping the hard drives back and forth should be fine, I do it whenever I want to play my DLC at a friend's house. However, because DLC is coded to your Live ID and your console ID, you will have to be logged into Live to use it on any system other than the one you bought it on.
As for moving saves, the transfer cable is probably your best bet, but I have no experience moving saves back and forth from a memory card, it might work, but will probably take forever. Try and find a friend who has one, if you don't want to buy it, or maybe look for a used one somewhere.
I just hooked both xboxs up to the same tv and they are set to the same settings with both using hdmi, but the picture looks different on both of them. The new 360 seams to be a bit more crisp and the color is a bit less saturated or something. It also sets it to a weird resolution (1300x760 or something) when I click on the optimal settings.

So what's going on here?
