I'm in the Toronto area and I have to replace 2 bearings (pulled from a humidifier motor). I have no idea where to buy them. I can't get them from the manufacturer... so I was hoping to buy them retail.
I've tried the following places without luck:
- Canadian Tire
- Home Hardware
- Rona
- Home Depot
- Walmart
The only places that might have them seem to be wholesale industrial supply places.. which probably won't be interested in my purchase of 2 small bearings, probably worth between $5 and $10 total.
try a bike store. they often have various diameters of bearings. failing that, perhaps amazon?

If they are standard bearings, which the industrial supply places can identify, they can be VERY cheap. just look in the phone book for bearing companies. Most keep some stock on hand.
You can order online in small quantities and shipping usually is next day. If it were not for this company my research lab would never get anything done.

If McMaster doesn't have it, it doesn't exist.

You'll have to buy a pack of 50, but it will cost you a whole five bucks
Or if you need the whole bearing

The bike shop idea was good too - would have been my second path.
Good job guys!
