I'm just disappointed there aren't any Volus / Elcor party members.
How cool would it be to go in guns blazing while backed up by a Volus mercenary wielding a gun bigger than he is, or an Elcor slowly shambling into battle with guns mounted on his head?
Is it just me or are you begging for an option where you betray Cerberus for being a bunch of assholes and stalk through their base capping bad guys, finishing off with you doing off the Illsuve Man execution style? Because my Sole Survivor is still angry about Akuze...
It's not just you Solar. I said this a couple of threads ago. Any players having recently finished a sole survivor run on ME1 going into ME2 will be thinking of revenge.
Dunno if this has been mentioned anywhere else, so apologies if this is old news.
I was at CES, and at the Microsoft booth a couple of Bioware guys were showing off ME2. I asked them what kind of reward you'd get for finishing Mass Effect Galaxies (that iPhone game). They mentioned that a character from MEG would remember you and give you additional quests. He also noted that characters in the game would make reference to events that happened in the novel. Neat.
This is actually pretty cool
I bet the quest giver is Derek Izunami, calling it now

I REALLY wish there was an option to just go, "Yeah, you pschopathic nutcases who I wouldn't trust to run a piss up in a brewery can just go chill out wherever, I'll take my usual squad" and just drop all the new characters and use the ones from Mass Effect 1.
Seriously, I want my team of skilled agents which developed in the first one. We don't need any of these people, they are all worse than team members I already have.

There's a time gap of two years between the games. We don't know who Shepard's usual squad would even be anymore.
And as this came up in a prior conversation, many, many people of Turkish descent have semi-Caucasian/Asian features.
Well, I'm just saying I would absolutely hate this. Nothing pulls me out of a story that's supposed to take place in this huge sci-fi universe faster than everybody knowing everybody. Likewise, if we run into Aleena, I'm gonna be super annoyed. Let the background details stay in the background.
The inventory system, hopefully they've overhauled it. Constantly messing about with the inventory, or say scrolling down a long, long list of items to get to the bottom crap, converting one into omnigel and then it resetting back to the top..
The inventory system in ME1 is a first class chore and headache, hopefully they've say broken them down into subsections and if you've got more than one identical item it actually stacks said items. Being able to chuck your normal inventory in say storage on the normandy might be fricking useful too, since i'm sure a ship would be able to store stuff.

I'd like to see an unsuited Volus, even more than a Quarian since we know they look fairly human. At least as a corpse, perhaps, unless that's too creepy.

I would imagine an unsuited volus would look something like my grade 12 english teacher: short, rotund, with scraggly hair and fish lips.
1) In the Subject Zero vid she is shown in-game both wearing sort-of armour and not wearing sort-of armour. So I'm suspecting it's an "upgrade people's armour and it shows on them in a style that fits with their starting armour" thing.
2) In the CES video Shepard is carrying two pistols. So evidently it's not a "carry one of each type" system anymore.
Dunno if this has been mentioned anywhere else, so apologies if this is old news.

I believe every class except soldier can carry both Heavy Pistols and SMGs, with Hand Cannons I suppose being an SMG variant. Every time we've seen the soldier wheel, it shows one pistil and it appears to be the Heavy Pistol.
But Soldier has the Assault Rifle, so it's all good. The SMG basically acts as an AR-lite for the other classes.
I heard something like everybody besides Shepard just has one default costume that they wear all the time, and armor is invisible, but that it's possible to unlock a second costume for them. So that might be what explains shirt and no shirt flavor.
oh wow, dunno if its touched up or anything but the ingame stuff shown in that video is gorgeous, even default shep looks hot, 100000x better then the graphic work in me1.

Yeah. Your assessment of SMG's is spot on. Since CES, though, apparently the soldier is carrying 6 weapons now, smg included.
I guess they really don't want them running out of ammo.

oh sweet, glad they are doing something like this, i was wondering what the reward would be, love it when they reference things you've read in another media, like the whole anderson/saren backstory even if they changed it slightly in the game.
Again, calling it now, Subject Zero is Rahna from Kaidan's old training program.
While I like this theory, I don't think it quites work.
As part of the training program, they all had to have biotic implants to control their abilities. This means that biotic implants had already been developed.
By definition, Subject Zero would have gotten the very first biotic implant. The timing doesn't work.

Weren't the Biotic implants a variation built on Asari models. SuZe might have been part of that original project where they got the L2's working well enough. Unless she's older than she looks and has a horrific L1 in her. Which would explain a LOT. But logically should be part of Shepard's group with the L3. Or maybe a prototype L4. (Assuming that your Shep was Biotic.)

I was looking at the Mass Effect Wiki entry on Singularity and all the ads were about lipo.
He specifically says she was Indian. Like, enough to be noticeably Indian.
Turkish.

also, suze could be indian, based on that video. facial structure seems right, she's just light-skinned
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
They don't have those anywhere around here.

Why would my vanguard strap a sniper rifle and an assault rifle to his back if he sucks at using them?
point is it's gone, you don't pick up loot during missions but you outfit your weapons with mods and such inbetween missions.
And you only have the weapons you can use. No Sniper Rifles on the backs of Adepts.
All of the videos and plenty of screenshots only show Shepard carrying one or two weapons, give or take a heavy weapon.
You might be able to have a volus romance on an intellectual level, but it won't be consummated.
If she takes her suit off, if there are even volus females, she explodes, and if you go into a room where she can survive, you'll die.
Oh well, I'll just have to settle for the elcor romance option.
I would imagine an unsuited volus would look something like my grade 12 english teacher: short, rotund, with scraggly hair and fish lips.

Uh...sorta. If I remember my lore they're like short squatty Chtulu's in those suits. So extra squick factor.
