Did they have to get a frat boy to announce all their GameStop commercials? It just sounds silly and kajiggers up the coolness factor of that first half. Specially that "Power to the player" thing.
"Power to the players" has been a Gamestop tagline for years now...
I was referring to how it sounded coming out of his mouth.

They've also had him as an announcer for quite some time. Not to mention he didn't really sound "frat-boyish" at all. I mean I didn't even hear one "bro".
The Digital Deluxe version is up on preorder on Impulse now it seems.
From Impulse:
The Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition also comes with:
Collector Armor and Assault Rifle
Two bonus in-game items: advanced regeneration armor and a powerful shield-shredding assault rifle.
Incisor Rifle
Firing three shots with each pull of the trigger, the Incisor Rifle is designed to decimate shields before the enemy even realizes they have been hit.
Original Soundtrack
The Mass Effect 2 original soundtrack features 12 pieces spanning the entire Mass Effect 2 experience.
Digital Art Book
The art book contains 48 pages of stunning full color artwork including captions from the Mass Effect 2
team.
Digital Mass Effect Redemption #1 comic
Featuring a limited edition cover, this issue of Redemption is the first part of a four part series as Liara T’Soni embarks on a dangerous mission to find Commander Shepard.
Documentary Video
Featuring over 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes and making-of videos, the Mass Effect 2 documentary takes an exclusive look at how Mass Effect 2 was made.
Cerberus Network
Included in the Digital Deluxe of Mass Effect 2 is a code to granting access to additional bonus content via the in game Cerberus Network.
Seems like it comes with everything from the physical Collectors edition but in digital form plus the soundtrack. It's also only for US and Canada, on Impulse that is.
I have to agree with BlackDove. I'm a little wary of having a skill that gives a bonus to negotiation. If it was a skill-specific option I would be okay with it (maybe Assault Mastery could give you the option to make a precise shot to the head of a bad guy who's using an innocent as a body shield), but that stuff wasn't in ME1. So it's reasonable to speculate--based on precedence and the way Christina Norman explained it--that Assault Mastery simply lets you access the blue- and red-text options more easily.

I've never heard of Impulse, I take it it's a digital-download-game-purchase-y-place sort of thing?
It's Stardock's (Makers of Galactic Civilizations series and publishers of Sin of a Solar Empire) digital distribution service. I bought my GalCiv II expansion packs through them, and it's a decent service. It's not as streamlined as Steam's service but it's not any kind of hassle either.
recruting a geth piss off Tali, if anything she could pick its robobrain.
Shepard: Tali, if he dies, I'll let you keep his body. Also, think about it, what part of having a Geth join us on a suicide mission is a bad idea? If we lose, he dies. If we win, he was at least useful.
I am not by any means a fan of EA... they have made many many horrible mistakes... BUT they do have the best damn digitil purchase system. Steam, impulse, D2D, ect all have screwed me over and made me jump through countless hoops while waiting hours on end to download and install a game.
EA download manager has always been speedy, easy, and pretty damn efficient (aka unlike everything else EA.)
That said I have a big question, two actually...
1. Does the EA online digital store also give out the soundtrack with the deluxe digital edition? I mean, I figure the answer is yes, only problem is it doesn't say it anywhere on the site. I think ALL deluxe digital editions do, but the EA store doesn't have a specific digital description, rather a general one which describes the hard copy version.
2. Is their a limited time we can buy the Digital version of the CE online? Or will it always be available?
To make up for my many questions I'll contribute a mass effect music video to Aerosmith's - I Don't Want Miss a thing. It's so f*in corny it made my eyes bleed and never want to play Mass Effect again, so watch at your own risk.
Glad to her that I'm not the only one stuck between those two delicious classes.
Also, if anyone wants a quick fix of nerdy min/max info: At level 30 you have 50 squad points, that's enough to max and evolve 5 trees (out of 6, plus a 7th if you get a bonus skill).
The evolutions look pretty awesome not to max any skill you take, but at the same time, to get from level 3 of a skill to level 4 takes almost as many squad points as it takes to get a level 3 ability. Any class with ammo mods looks like they will be a little less hungry for points.
I'm somewhat amazed that they managed to get the "noclip" power through and out the other end of beta testing.
That thing looks like a nightmare to set up so you don't get yourself stuck in a wall, or in a weird position, etc. Especially since it works on the Z axis as well.
Do skill specializations work like the class ones in ME1, where you need to continue dropping points into it after evolution, or is evolving just the icing, so to speak?

The second way.
I see.
I really like the sound of these things. Aside from the class-exclusive skills, they are probably the most exciting thing that seems to have been added.
One thing I noticed glancing over the various articles again is that all the class specializations seem to be more damage vs. cooldown/negotiation etc. rather than anything like the Medic medi-gel improvement or Bastion's improved stasis.
I suppose this is probably a side effect of the weirder effects being used as specific skill specializations.
So I've heard about this , but haven't seen/heard more details - just vague notions.
People said that we its no longer the "having to put points from the same pool" for charm or intimidate. Can anyone elaborate for poor little Egos.
Each class gets six abilities to put points into, with two of those being unique to each class. One of these two is the unique feature for each class (Vanguard Charge, etc.) and the other is an ability that gives static boosts to the stats relevant to each class as well as a bonus to persuading people with either Charm or Persuade.
To be honest I'm a little worried about the Vanguard being a bit of a one-trick pony, given that that wasn't exactly the most varied video. That said, I like me some shotty, so it's still kind of a wash between the Infiltrator and Vanguard.

Well, one-trick pony or no, it's an awesome trick.

My Shepard is a direct bloodline descendant of the Kool-Aid guy.

The passive bonuses tree boosts your Paragon/Renegade ratings by some percentage per rank (Which seems to go as high as a 100% boost)
Damn.
Fixed.
The second best thing about this video is that the toilet has a military designation.
The best thing about this video is that the toilet's designation is "PP2".

Lightsabers are Reaper technology. Shepard loosely translates to Skywalker.
Confirmed...it's canon.

Why? I played (and liked) Too Human.
You really think Charge is cooler than Cloak?
Yes
