Super Mario Sunshine involved very clever use of the water cannon tools. I had some difficulty perceiving depth in a few of the rocket boost portions though. I don't remember any of the levels not being fun to traverse. That one level where you transition above and below ground was particularly memorable, and had a "whoa" factor.
"None of you understand. I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me!"
Keeping on top of my Bandwagon list (2/2 Beaten), I finished On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3. Fantastic game!
I started the Witcher from my Gift Backlog last night. I don't think I like it, but I'm going to play it for a few more hours to see if it gets better. (My main issue is that moving around during combat feels really clumsy no matter which of the three camera modes you're in and what control method you're using.) A few hours later and I'm starting to enjoy it. Turns out I was Playing It Wrong™.
The Gift Backlog (16/29):
3D Dot Game Heroes Ace Attorney Investigations Alice: Madness Returns Braid Batman: Arkham City
Chantelise
Donkey Kong Country Returns
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Ghost Trick Lume Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MGS HD Collection)
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (MGS HD Collection) Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands (Wii Version)

Goals for 2012:
-Don't Buy Anything From the Steam Summer Sale
-Try to finish what I start playing instead of dropping it halfway through for something else
-Don't buy any games with a few exceptions:
New Double Fine games
New Sonic games (must complete Sonic backlog first)
Bioshock Infinite
The Last Guardian
Mass Effect 3 (Must Complete ME2 first)
Half-Life 3 if it rears its head
Falling off the Wagon / Goal Failures:
Bought Journey (3/14/12)
Bought On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 (6/25/12)
Bonus Round: Finished Games From My Main Backlog (7/∞) Journey
Daikatana (PC Version)
GUN GODZ
Singularity
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3
I should probably wait until the steam sale is over, but...

@Anonymous gifted me a copy of L.A. Noire after I gifted him L4D1 & 2 @Stolls gifted me Fortune Summoners, Chantillise, and Recettear as part of a "First to PM me gets free shit" contest.
If you run into either of these classy gents, be sure to tip your hat to them.

Persona 3 Portable has been sitting in my Vita for the better part of a month unplayed. I've put about 10 more hours into it since. Once I get this out of the way, I think I'll try to finish up Nocturne. God of War III and Uncharted 3 are giving me dirty looks, but I don't feel like re-learning God of War III when I have only some of the most difficult parts left. Uncharted 3 is filled with horseshit fights so I'm not motivated to pick it back up, but I finished the first two already.

Steam sale, I bought Ys: Oath in Felghana, Arx Fatalis, got gifted a copy of Renegade Ops. I'm adding Ys and Arx Fatalis to my backlog.
Managed to resist all but one thing in the Steam sale. But the lure of the new badge was too much to avoid making any purchases. And thus Air Conflicts - Secret Wars ends up on my drive.

Hurrah. I made it through the Steam sale without buying anything for myself. Even though over half of my wishlist was on sale for $2 to $3 each! Oh well.
I'm 22 hours into the Witcher and just finished Chapter 2.. of 6. With the hope of finishing my entire backlog someday, I've been inspired to remove all RPGs over 25 hours long from my wishlist.
@Vagrant_Winds sent me Saints Row 3. I shall proceed to shout his name every time I jack a car. @VThornheart sent me Civilization 5. Because he's classy like that.
And I think that's the extent of the steam damage...
Steam sale and Best Buy's B2G1 free deal killed me. Adding Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising, Galactic Civilizations II, Stacking, Costume Quest, Greed Corp, Dear Esther, and Legend of Grimrock.

I've relapsed about 250 times in the last year. Once I re-entered the world of PC gaming last August, and discovered Steam sales, my purchasing addiction became too much.
I need a backloggery reboot, but I may have to take a day off work to catalog everything.

I bought several games on the steam sale. Some would say a cornucopia. I'll update my backlog when I get home.
However, I finished On the RainSlick Episode One last night after pulling myself away from Heroes of Newerth. Episode Two might go on hold so I can start playing Zelda again.
Glad to see you enjoyed Sunshine, Aaron. It's one of my unexpected favorites of the GameCube, along with Luigi's Mansion.

A little off-topic, but how was Golden Sun?
It was kind of average, to be honest. I hadn't played the original, so maybe I'm missing out on important plot points, but the plot is really spotty, the game never gets challenging until the very last battle and the puzzles are all really straightforward. There are over a dozen DS RPGs I'd recommend instead of it.

Awesome thanks for the tip. I'll skip it I've just recently dusted off my DS for Pokemon Conquest and have FFTA2 and Disgaea to play. Thinking of Radiant Historia as well.

The Steam summer sale hit me like a monocled pugilist.
I've gone from 229/258 to 338/370. Some of that's DLC, mind you. Maybe not as bad as it looks...
Steam Summer Sale uses FallOffTheWagonx13
It's Super-Effective!
Heard nothing but good things about the Thief series, so I got the trilogy for seven-and-a-half bucks. Also stumbled across a take on asteroids + your winamp playlist = awesome. Beat Hazard.
Also bought Borderlands GOTY (PLAY IT WITH YOUR FRIENDS!).
Bought Rain Slick 1 & 2.
Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World included with Rain Slick 3, gifts.
Bought Dead Rising 2 (beat a pirated copy a while back...so I owe CAPCOM money, so I bought it).
Bought F.3.A.R.
Found a Dreamcast bundle from a kid on Craigslist, so now I have a Dreamcast, 2 racing titles I will never play, Sonic Adventure that I already beat, Crazy Taxi which cannot be beaten, and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, which I have not yet played.
Now for some good news. Finally finished Disgaea: Hour of Darkness with 104 hours played. Got the Bad Ending. I saw credits, so it's done, but I'm really compelled to find out the other endings....especially when my start-over save lets me continue with all the characters and gear I unlocked in my first pass. Disgaea did a nice job of rewarding me for talking to my vassals for supremely good time-to-beat-the-last-boss gear too. Rain Slick 1 beaten. Also marking Diablo III complete; I don't plan on having any drive to beat Hell, let alone Inferno.
Man, if I could just stop playing League of Legends with my friends, this would go a lot faster...

Made a lot of progress this week- beat three games and decided to null one, but one of the beaten ones was a game I'd forgotten I have.
Penny Arcade: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 was one hell of a fun ride. If you have a way to play this, buy it. It's that good.
I also lucked out and beat Lords of Thunder (Virtual Console) I'm not usually one for side-scrolling shmups, but this wasn't that bad.
I also beat Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. This one wasn't that hard for an RPG. As long as you didn't run from random battles, there was really only one place you had to grind.
I ended up nulling Avatar Online Adventures. Let's face it- this game really, really sucks. There's hardly anybody on, and those who are lend credence to the Internet Douchebag Theory.
I also fiddled around with my Backloggery. Add me to your multitaps if you want to.

Until I typed it out, I didn't realize how long of a backlog I had... Yikes.
I couldn't help myself. I just completed Mighty Switch Force by finishing all the levels under par. NOW I'm done.
I also started AC2 on the PC. I'm a few hours in and it's starting to get fun now that I have a bunch of different weapons.

I am getting woefully close to finishing up Red Dead Redemption, which I started back in February and had only been sporadically playing until recently. I don't love it enough to try and 100% it, but will go for some of the lower hanging achievement fruit.
I'm also just starting up the Battlefield 3 single player campaign, which I'll mow through. Lastly, I'm going to consider Diablo 3 'beat' once I get a character through Inferno, which is probably a month or so away. Looking forward to getting some new campaigns going by September!

I beat Borderlands, and I'm not feeling the DLC, so I'm "done". Mission Accomplished, Flight Suit.
Then I started playing Civ 5...
Have you tried The Secret Armory of General Knoxx? It is both hugely entertaining and just plain huge. One of the few DLC's I have come across superior to the base game in just about every way.
Finally beat Final Fantasy III. This one felt like a real accomplishment. The remake was pretty solid, but, especially around the end, you can see that its built on NES era RPG logic.

Nope. I made it through Dr. Ned, and took a look at Moxxie, and started in on Claptrap, and just wasn't feeling it after about the 300th suicide claptrap in one tiny area.

That's a shame, as General Knoxx was (IMO) the best of the DLCs. If you could excuse the huge areas with no quick travel, it provided the most new and interesting enemies, the funniest new characters, the largest landscapes and the biggest challenges of the entire game.
ClapTrap Revolution was a bit of a waste, though. As you noted, it was just a flood of suicide robots, and the jokes fell terribly flat.

I'm 22 hours into the Witcher and just finished Chapter 2.. of 6. With the hope of finishing my entire backlog someday, I've been inspired to remove all RPGs over 25 hours long from my wishlist.
Granted, I fell off the wagon when I picked up Mighty Switch Force, but I've beaten it now.
edit: Apparently there are bonus stages. Well, I'm still considering this beaten, just not completed. (I saw credits)
Also got Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fate from Goozex and Starship Defense from Club Nintendo coins.
I did finish Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, though, so... progress!

I need a backloggery reboot, but I may have to take a day off work to catalog everything.
2008, 2012, 2014 D&D "Rare With No Sauce" League Fantasy Football Champion!
A little off-topic, but how was Golden Sun?

However, I finished On the RainSlick Episode One last night after pulling myself away from Heroes of Newerth. Episode Two might go on hold so I can start playing Zelda again.
Glad to see you enjoyed Sunshine, Aaron. It's one of my unexpected favorites of the GameCube, along with Luigi's Mansion.
@Visiblehowl gave me Binding of Issac this morning. He's a bro, of the ut-bro-st bro-rder.
Since that was the last SteamGifts giveaway I was entered in, now I should be done.

I'll skip it

The Steam summer sale hit me like a monocled pugilist.
I've gone from 229/258 to 338/370. Some of that's DLC, mind you. Maybe not as bad as it looks...
The updated Backloggery is here:

Progress Report: 14/87
Color Code:
White: Games not started yet.
Magenta: My current project.
Lime: Completed games. Every three means I can treat myself to a points card- 360 or Wii, my choice- for whatever I want to use it for.

Orange: Games that are just too wrecked or shitty for me to get any joy out of completing them.

Until I typed it out, I didn't realize how long of a backlog I had... Yikes.
I also started AC2 on the PC. I'm a few hours in and it's starting to get fun now that I have a bunch of different weapons.
