I don't see why it wouldn't, every Jam game ever has been up to 4 human players, 2 per side. You get to pick the team you want to be on so there's your co-op.

Yea, I'm sure they won't do the HD versions without local co-op.
Never is a bold statement - depends on the amount in your friends list that have it too. One can at least trust them to run a legit game even if the online mode is broken.
Not everyone still lives with roommates or their parents. Jobs, hobbies, kids, pets, etc get in the way of having your friends over for NBA Jam. Having it online so you can play your friends conveniently is the best for a lot of people.
You are terrible people for not wanting online play in NBA Jam. Seriously, it's one of the most retarded things to say ever. It's like saying "I don't think chocolate cake works. No one should eat it."
You just happen to be wrong chocolate cake is the BOMB
Not everyone still lives with roommates or their parents.
This has nothing to do with getting people together to play a game.
dude what the hell? NBA Jam is the PERFECT game to play online with friends of yours from over almost two decades ago who you used to play it on SNES with but can't anymore since people grew up, got jobs, got married, and moved away.
Maybe you never went to college or moved out of your parents basement for whatever but lots of people did and to say "games aren't mean to be played online, hrrrrrrr" is just ignorant
You are terrible people for not wanting online play in NBA Jam.
Is that what I said? Becuase it isn't.
"You are not suppose to play a game like this online. It is meant for a group of people in the same room."
Certainly has implications- but still, you're a terrible person for thinking that.
I'm a person who mostly interacts with people in person and not a head set and knows there's a difference when it comes to games like this. A major difference.

No, people should quit acting like online gaming is the end all be all for mutiplayer becuase they've been programmed to think that way. Most people are sheep. That doesn't stop at gaming.

wait what? who ever said that?
I think it's great that there is both Couch Play and Online Play in the next gen versions. it would be retarded to remove local multiplayer in favour of online, just like it's retarded to release a game with local multiplayer but no online functionality.
How does me wanting to play with my friends who do not live in the same city same city as me make me a sheep?
ahahahaha sheeple you sheeple and your online gaming.
let me tell you buddy: me and my friends are almost 30 years old. my friends don't go to people's places to play NBA Jam. if anyone wants to play a video game together it's Rock Band or Wii Sports. that's like once a year at most.
if I want to play this game with my friends who live around the country now (we all moved after college) I have to play online.
ahahahaha sheeple you sheeple and your online gaming.
Did I shit on on online gaming as a whole? No I did not. On rare occasions people design games for LOCAL multi player rather than online gaming. Then people lose their shit when they're told that.

dude, the game was designed for both from day 1, i don't get what you are talking about. The only reason it's not in for the wii version is because less than 1% of the wii userbase ever play games online and it wasn't worth the dev costs to deal with wii friend codes, etc

Nobody is getting mad; dude made a blanket statement regarding how most penny arcadians might be able to play games. Some penny arcadians aren't in that stage of their life anymore so he was called on it.

Getting people together to play games isn't a "stage in life." You don't grow out of it or get to old for it.

ugh dude, just accept that many people have friends who don't live in the same city anymore and would be enjoyable to Jam with

Yeah, it is. Getting people together requires working around: wives, jobs, kids, pets, hobbies, family, etc. For a lot of people my age, they live 1+ hours away from their friends; scheduling has to be done. Someone who has a part time job or is still in high school or college (PA's demographic) has a much easier time just calling up a buddy to play Wii jam in their living room.
It is much easier for me to send an email to my friends while I'm at work and say "hey lets play some Jam tonight at 9". Playing video games in the living room was fun in college and high school but that is not a reality anymore.

Add me!
Because every online mode in an NBA game has been broken and pointless.
So even if I end up with Jam on 360, I am never ever playing it online.
I guess we all have different life experiences though, I can't wait to play NBA Jam vs my buddies around the country.
I hate how companies can just take down a video on Youtube like that, surely that must be covered by fair use.

I'm guessing since it says "Exit Game" in the main menu it is XBLA. Could change for retail, but I doubt it.

forums poster Algertman lays down the law. I'll ring up EA and let them know they were wrong when they included online play.
Or maybe the 360 controller. A bit of a giveaway.
I think you missed the point - I believe it is for XBLA as opposed to a 360 standalone game. You can't really exit a standalone game.
