I don't see why it wouldn't, every Jam game ever has been up to 4 human players, 2 per side. You get to pick the team you want to be on so there's your co-op.

I figured, but you know how game companies are. They think people are content with online co-op only.

Also, I cannot imagine why you wouldn't want to wait for the version with online mode. I am calling it now: PA Jam League: We be Jammin.

Because every online mode in an NBA game has been broken and pointless.

So even if I end up with Jam on 360, I am never ever playing it online.

Never is a bold statement - depends on the amount in your friends list that have it too. One can at least trust them to run a legit game even if the online mode is broken.

Man I enjoy NBA 2k games online with friends... I play point, buddy plays shooting guard or whatever

I guess we all have different life experiences though, I can't wait to play NBA Jam vs my buddies around the country.

This might be a beta version for 360:

I'm guessing since it says "Exit Game" in the main menu it is XBLA. Could change for retail, but I doubt it.

dude what the hell? NBA Jam is the PERFECT game to play online with friends of yours from over almost two decades ago who you used to play it on SNES with but can't anymore since people grew up, got jobs, got married, and moved away.

Maybe you never went to college or moved out of your parents basement for whatever but lots of people did and to say "games aren't mean to be played online, hrrrrrrr" is just ignorant

wait what? who ever said that?

I think it's great that there is both Couch Play and Online Play in the next gen versions. it would be retarded to remove local multiplayer in favour of online, just like it's retarded to release a game with local multiplayer but no online functionality.

How does me wanting to play with my friends who do not live in the same city same city as me make me a sheep?

dude, the game was designed for both from day 1, i don't get what you are talking about. The only reason it's not in for the wii version is because less than 1% of the wii userbase ever play games online and it wasn't worth the dev costs to deal with wii friend codes, etc

the 360/ps3 versions natively support both

Yeah, it is. Getting people together requires working around: wives, jobs, kids, pets, hobbies, family, etc. For a lot of people my age, they live 1+ hours away from their friends; scheduling has to be done. Someone who has a part time job or is still in high school or college (PA's demographic) has a much easier time just calling up a buddy to play Wii jam in their living room.

It is much easier for me to send an email to my friends while I'm at work and say "hey lets play some Jam tonight at 9". Playing video games in the living room was fun in college and high school but that is not a reality anymore.
