Imagine those poor new players, fresh young ducklings making their first foray into the bright colourful world of Team Fortress 2. They have heard that the Heavy can get new exciting weapons. The Heavy is a big man with a big gun. He has lots of health. He seems like a good choice for an inexperienced player such as himself.
The solid impassable metal gates slide open and the newbie steps out into the great beyond, sunlight bright in his eyes. This peaceful moment is savagely interrupted as he hears a scream in the distance. "An enemy!" the newb cries, "I will rip him to shreds with Sasha". The newb steps around the corner, Sasha gently whirring in anticipation. He sees a bloodied corpse of a fellow Heavy, but no foe is to be seen. Before the newb can begin to comprehend the situation his life is cut to a brutal end. He lets loose a great cry, a cry of frustration and shattered dreams, and sinks to the ground. Staring at the sky, he thinks of all that he could have achieved, the fun times that would be had. The light fades from his eyes, the last sight of his life is a Spy throwing a cigarette on his face.
"What's the matter, fat got your tongue?". The Spy laughs, cloaks, and waits for his next easy kill.

ehh I got 18 stabs back in the old days, its only 6 nowadays though.
This wasn't 8 stabs where you cloak and redisguise and then circle around the map again (in a place like gravelpit, or something you can do laps in and find stragglers). This was 8 stabs. All within 3-4 seconds of each other.
Minigun for the Heavy. Has the following properties:
+10% move speed while equipped
Heavy cannot be forcibly moved while spinning
20% bullet and melee resistance while spinning 0% move speed while spinning
Firing angle constrained while spinning
Essentially, the Anastasia is a mobile turret-style gun. It has two adjustable legs and a partial riot shield that deploy when the Heavy spins up, locking him to whatever surface he's standing on. Airblasts, FaN knockback, and explosive damage cannot affect him while he's spun up, and bullets and melee damage are slightly reduced. In exchange for these advantages, the Heavy trades offensive mobility (he can't walk onto a point while spun up, for instance) and radius of attack (he can't turn the gun around entirely; I'm not sure what the full range would be yet). Great for corridors, not so much open areas. It also increases the relevance of damaging secondary weapons (like the Shotgun), since only the Shotgun and the fists can easily track enemies who are close to the Heavy using Anastasia.

I've learned that I'm more likely to be backstabbed the more teammates I have behind me.

But the reason the shotgun and fists are kind of worthless is the spin down.
And I really hate heavies, don't get me wrong, but the spindown is sort of dumb.
Also the flare gun has a range of at least 27-39 damage. What's that about? Also also minicritting with the flare for 22 damage is owns.

The shotgun is meant to be used instead of the minigun where appropriate, not after.
Well it's like you get this close range weapon and you get this unreloading close to medium-long range gun I mean I dunno the shotgun seems pretty crappy.
Like if there's a heavy with a shotgun I know that I can kill him even if he pulls out the minigun because he has to switch and then spin up and by then he's already dead.
That would imply there's someplace where the shotgun is appropriate where the minigun is not.
It pretty much always is when you haven't gotten into position for the minigun yet. For moving, self-defense and taking out single dudes the shotgun is better.

but goomba the point of having a shotgun out is being able to run people down without dying because you are so meaty
then you bring out the minigun when no one is around and shoot booletz

Yeah so it's a weapon to have "just 'cuz". Because the heavy doesn't really need any weapon other than natasha.
I mean the minigun.
Yeah what an underpowered class. I wish my underpowered class could basically a hold a point by themselves.
Ok, so, if you don't like the current map, and you decide to blatantly fuck over your team by doing something like going melee medic or some stupid shit to end the map faster, that is not ok.

Does playing Spy count, in my case? I have been known to go Spy on Dustbowl for this exact reason.
