Also I love the katana. Its been my main weapon since I got it. I guess I still have DMC on the brain. I want to love the other weapons but man, the sword is just so fast! I'm sure there's another weapon that's perfect for me though. I usually like the second to last weapon or something.

Activate the Lift and run to the walls before triggering the lightning. Do the flip right before it strikes and enter witch time. Rape the wall and run. Witch Time should end when you reach the end. You get 10 seconds to move around before you have to trigger the lightning. use it to get as close as possible.

"Lift" the statues, then move close to the bridge/door, then press "activate". You should then have plenty of time.

Man you guys are pussy's, the QTE's are easy as pie in this game. Yes a lot of them are instant death but once I figured out QTE's are used a lot I was ready and waiting for them. I can't really remember getting pissed because of a QTE.

Just beat it on Normal, now to take a break with Easy and Very Easy before tackling Hard. So far I think this game is somewhere in my top 5 all-time list.

Also, Holy fucking shit that ending. Just.... holy fucking shit that was awesome.

Anyone else actually enjoy the story? I mean, it was over the top insane, but I thought it ended up actually being pretty well told.

There's a point where you are on top of a missile, riding it. Not it being flung at you, riding it. you fight jeanne on it and then after you beat her enough you are rewarded with "press x or smack into the building".

Yeah but will new one's appear if I redo normal? Are there special stages? He claims it takes 12 hours to unlock all the weapons and there are tons of extra stages and so on so I'm asking where I go within the game to find these lp's.

Yeah they're not a problem anymore now that I've beaten them all once and know what button I'm supposed to press in which scene (x or square or two buttons or whatever), it's just that as a first time through they're stupid and as a second time through they're boring. So what's the point.

Anyway, enough griping from me, because I've beaten the game now so I know what to expect and can yawn as I press the flaming hoops the developer wants me to jump through while I get to the awesome action.

I'm replaying missions to get halo's to upgrade my magic power and buy accessories.

Oh shit I just found out that lost chapters is a bloody palace type mode. You fight like 50 battles and that's where the hardest fights are.

By the sound of this in non stop climax mode, dodging doesn't activate witch time.

    O_O

    Can anyone confirm this?

so, for anyone who is in the elite-level of skill (which, I'm not at all), I'm wondering how the game feels balanced in the top tier play. reason i ask is because it seems to me that there are only going to be a handfull of attacks that end up being used and a TON that never get touched because of redundancy.

Anyone know if this is true or not? I'm just going on what I noticed and guessed at.

    Yeah,that's confirmed.

In Non Stop Climax you can only enter witch time by using the bracelet of time,if you have it.
You get the bracelet of time by bringing your "playthrough time" down to under 3 hours.

Morninglord, do you have all weapons you get in a normal playthrough via LPs?

If so,you need to beat Hard Mode and Non Stop CLimax for a new weapon each. You also need to beat 100 chapters on at least Normal. Multiple playthroughs through one chapter count,so you could play the prologue until you have it,for example. Another weapon unlocks if you beat the secret boss, forgot how you unlock him though,I think by beating Angel Slayer.

Wicked weaves are Bayonetta's finished where she summons hair fists and feets. And yeah it requires combo'ing. But some of them are pretty short, just go to practice mode(press select/back during load screen) to figure them out.

I haven't found one like that yet but I figure you can combo in thin air since the magic punch/kick homes in on your targets. My guess is the short combos that only require 3 or 4 hits before summoning a hand/feet would be best for this.

Use dodge offset. Combo into thin air, then before the last hit hold the button and dodge, then hit an enemy.

Or just dodge to get magic points and do the <- -> P/K attack or the PKP combo.

A lot of the missed encounters during chapters are from Alfheim gates. Some aren't but a a majority are (there's 21 in total).

I only have fucking Stone Awards at the end of chapters because of those fucking insta-death QTEs. 5 deaths is almost a guarantee for Stone Award, regardless of how many silver, gold, plat and pure plat medals you earned in the verses.

On a side note, the last few Alfheim gates I've dealt with, I've one or two-shot. The katana makes a lot of them absolutely easy. The ones that still give me some issue are Witch Time only kills or Stay in the Air for x time. Fuck you 60 second bullshit!

Use the whip and your pistol button. Pull an enemy to you, jump off him, pull enemy to you, jump off, rinse repeat. You'll even get an achievement for getting very high up. I can stay in the air indefinitely in those Alfheims thanks to the respawning enemies. Shooting your guns slows your decent down a LOT.

Regarding missed encounters, it's not only Alfheims. Sometimes Angels will just pop up.
Or,the most common one are Angel statues. You need to hit them, and many of them will turn out to be actual Angels in disguise. This starts a new verse.

    @ Missing Encounters:

One thing, my brother has told me is that all the fights or "verses" are in order. So, you can look at how they're numbered and if the numbers are out of order you can backtrack.

Also, some verses can't be accessed until you get certain forms.
