Is there a full set of Templar armor? I've only found the odd piece.
Well, by decked out I really just mean the breast plate really. I think it looks pretty complete by itself. I'd have to double check but I don't believe you can see a change in the model when you put on boots. I also had the helmet, but I don't like giving my characters helmets.

There's no 'set', but there are all of the pieces (except boots, I think), of varying levels, scattered around. I actually had Alistair in Warden armour with a Templar helmet for a while. Looked badass.

I was just thinking about a 'mages fucking DIE' set bonus.
Speaking of mages dying. It's great to have a tactic set up that has Alistair bull rush every mage he sees, and/or Leliana saving the arrow of slaying for the mages she sees.
The available Templar Armor is bullshit because if you look at NPC Templar models, you can clearly see that they have unique gloves that look nothing like anything else in the game. Assuming that, there's probably a fully made "set" - it's just not made available.

Leliana hitting then with Arrow of Slaying, or a mage hitting them with Mana Clash, is sufficient. Leave Alistair for the tanking. If you must, get him Holy Smite from the Templar line and stun a mage with it, and have someone else kill it. You're better off having Mr Tanky Tank do what he's good at.

In regards to Templar gear:
There are 2 places to get definate Templar gear:
- Faryn the "Previously Owned" Armor merchant outside of Orzammar, right side, one of the only humans there is outside. He sells a few good armor pieces for reasonable prices, with the Templar Knight Commander Chestpiece being sold at 27g.
By itself, excellent stats, excellent look and stuff to say the least, although you need like 38 strength and the Templar specialization to wear it.
Faryn also sells a set of "Chevalier's Gloves", basically gloves once worn by an Orlesian high knight, for 3ish gold. They have no stats but are decently armored, setless and look, in my opinion, the most like gloves the Templars wear in terms of colour.
- In the Circle of Magi Tower, around the late second or early third floor, before the sloth demon, there are possessed templars who attack you. You can kill them and, on my first runthrough, the first templar I killed dropped the Templar Helm, also setless, statless and very concealing of the face but indeed a match for the chestpiece. I assume one helm will always drop off at least one of them.
There are no boots in the set and there are no gloves in the set, to my knowledge. There is also, apparently non DLC Black Templar gear which is also apparently in a set of it's own. I have no idea how or where to aquire it and have no idea how good it is, but I've seen screenshots of it and it looks sick. Such as this one:
I assume it's a mod so I guess that means PC only, we'll see.
And for both templar chestpieces, boot animations are replaced with a standard plate overlay that fits in under the dress of the suit so it doesn't matter what you put under there. :P
That particular set of Black Templar armor I've heard was player made, a part of a mod available only to the PC community. Unsure though, I think I remember Pancake mentioning it once.
There are Templar gloves - and by that I mean Templars wear unique gloves you can't find anywhere in game. It's dumb that they aren't available and Templar and Knight Commander isn't part of a full set that the player can aquire, since it is easily one of the most unique and best looking armor sets in the game.

Here is a shot of my Morrigan strutting about in the armor.
I wonder how DLC will be handled after Awakening. Expand the world post-Awakening or add more to the base game?
They say they have a two year DLC plan, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some of both.
Speaking of DLC, RtO has been taken down due to a bug (connected to the update also released for the 360 today) that locks some people out of selecting specializations.
So 360 users, don't download the update unless you're feeling lucky, and since it only fixed some issues with DLC achievements, it isn't that crucial either.

Oh I completely understand. I'm just in a luxurious position of having my Warden be a better tank than Al. So my character grabs the initial wave, Alistair walks through and kills the mage, then starts performing tank rituals from behind the fight. The baddies get 'squished'

For me, it is combo of Crushing Prison and Petrify on mages. Most can't resist both spells. My warriors will handle the tough physical ones but for me, I still prefer mage vs mage long range spell duel. :P.
Near the finale:
In Fort Drakon, on the second floor, where there is an enemy mage + 2xOgre (Alpha). I sent each of my warrior to each Ogre while by two mages did a 2 vs 1 on the Emissary. They killed the Emissary before either of my warrior had finished the Ogre

2 tanks?
Your parties damage output must be ass.
Well not like there's an enrage timer on any of the fights. Whereas dying is annoying. I kind of off tanked as an Arcane Warrior and did fine.

That's hardly surprising. Emissaries are usually 1/2 hit kills once you spot them. Especially with other mages.
Never came across an ogre that didn't require a fair bit of hacking and slashing to put down.

Yeah. I had to help out one of my warrior when he was grabbed by the Ogre. BTW, what is the best spell in that case besides Stone Fist?

It was a really short DLC I know...but man did that fell go taking down that guy again. I was happier about getting Duncan's gear. If I wasn't a Mage I would have equiped those suckers right away.

Pretty much any spell that stuns or paralyzes will do the trick. The tier 1 cold spell (winter's bite or something?) works sometimes, and cone of cold works pretty much always except you're likely going to freeze your ally as well (still better than having him punched to death). Paralyze, sleep, all those kinds of spells will work potentially, if they aren't resisted.
The part in that clip from Ostagar where the scared warden takes a step back and the warden behind him puts a hand on his shoulder is one of my favourite parts of the game.

Was that a Warden? I thought it looked like the freaked out guy who was laying on a stretcher in the camp. The one who talks all crazy.

Excellent video. I especially liked the slapping, the shaving and the bears at the end.
Don't see that stuff in one sentence often.
Also, the Fade may be balls, but at least you get superpowers and lots of stats. And depending on your character picks right before the sloth demon you can see some pretty interesting character development.
Fade was kinda crazy the first time, felt like it was never going to end, had no idea what was going on. Second time through was much better, and even kinda fun.
I keep hoping someone makes a Fade-Be-Gone mode like the Dungeon-Be-Gone mod for BG2. It would be really, really nice to be able to just skip that to the final battle. I'd even be willing to give up all of those bonus stat points to be able to skip the Fade.

Hope you played a female. If not, remake and start over as it is clearly the best origin for female characters.

Yea no doubt, must say the Play Pretty Dress Up, was pretty good, as well as the most random party err selection at the end.
Yeah. I just have to play through the fade again as a rogue. Goodness, I remembered why I hate enemy mages in this game so much.
But in the end. Just take alll the free stat boosts the section gives you and try to forget about it.
