I know, so do I, but I'm not that far into the game. And I don't want to restart the character from scratch (redoing the Origin, Tower of Ishal and Lothering is not appealing).
Seems it was lost in the shuffle - anyone know what cunning/coercion levels you need to convince Leliana you're not doing the nasty with Morrigan? I tried last night, but they were really low, so I reloaded an hour back to before I did her quest or shagged Morrigan.
Leliana is just jealous at the drop of a hat. She was convinced I declared by undying love to her when I had done no such thing. I had to just eat that conversation then talk/gift her back up. You can do it without losing too much favor, it's just annoying she drops it on you pretty much of the blue if you say anything not mean to her.

I thought Shale was supposed to be the HK-47 equivalent.
But the more I play the more I realize they weren't going for an HK-47 type in this game. It feels like they broke up HK's personality and then went deeper into the various parts. Which is smarter, and harder, than trying to match a beloved character.
Well, she's a robotic character (well, sort of, in Fantasy terms) who doesn't care at all about organic beings and has a pet name for them ('it' instead of 'meatsack'). She's pretty similar to HK-47.
Not true at all... if you dig into her story
Yeah at first glance she's pretty robotic, and she remains somewhat so throughout the game, understandably... but beneath that rocky exterior she does have true emotions and a rather wide range of them. Further more she will fight against recreating golems in an attempt to save more dwarfs from her fate; a move HK-47 would have laughed at.

I meant robotic as in she's a golem, the fantasy equivalent of a robot. There's differences between the characters, sure, but basic premise of each is really similar. She's a robot, hates organic life and gives them a derogatory nickname. That's enough for most people to see the same idea behind the characters.

I don't think she hates all organic life, she just dislikes (or perhaps more accurately) looks down on small/squishy lifeforms. She seems to respect and get along with Sten well enough. Sten also seems to look down on small/squishy lifeforms (ie: humans).

A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
If she hated organic life I don't think she'd have been willing to
Become organic herself in the ending. Or rather, return to being organic.
The impression I got was that you made her want to become a dwarf again.
Through the whole campaign, any time I talked to her, all she wanted to do was 'go squash something'. At the end, at the ceremony (if you didn't die), talking to her she says you made her realize not all organic life is useless, and she wants to try and become a dwarf again.

In my game she returned to Orzammar and continues to kill Darkspawn in memory of the fallen Grey Warden (me). Even when I had Alister take the final blow I believe she mentioned returning to the Deep Roads to kill Darkspawn because they remind her of pigeons.

Nothing since last night for RtO. I check every few days or so. I think the last estimate was not till the week of the 25th and that's sketchy info. But if it's earlier. I'll be a happy puppy.
From what I can gather on the official forum (Which is, at the best of times, very little), alot of people have been able to purchase and play RTO on the Xbox today.
I see no official announcements, or details on other formats, though.
Edit: Reading through the 'shock release' thread, it's quite amusing to see alot of people literally foaming at the mouth trying to ascertain if they can get the DLC right now or not, when a few weeks ago they were voicing dissatisfaction and dissapointment at the nature of RTO.
Sounds like a big slip-up, anyway.

I wouldn't reccomend anyone actually downloads it though, if they even can anymore. Lots of reports of bugs; this really looks like a large mistake on behalf of the XBL guys or whoever is in charge of releasing content there.
Feel sorry for BioWare; they planned to add a small chapter to the game for a few points, which wasn't well received, then had to delay it, which was received even worse...and now this. Personally I thought it was a good idea, but I'm not exactly anticipating it daily. Anything that can add to my experience with the game, which has felt all too fleeting even at 70+ hours, I will gladly accept - assuming it is both a reasonable price, and not one of too many similar releases. I'd buy a couple of RTO's, but draw the line at 4-5 pieces of DLC this size.
i'd rather bioware stopped this DLC stuff and just focused on expansions
On what grounds? For a game released in November (A substantial game, at that), there are already 2 pieces of officially released DLC (Adding a fully written party member and a new location with loot/bonuses), a third on the way, and a full expansion due in March. On that sort of timescale, we can realistically expect another full expansion by the end of the year. I'm not aware of another studio doing this kind of work for their games, possibly aside MMO developers.
well i'd rather have the DLC stuff theyre making just packed into the expansions, wardens keep and return to ostagar are just so short they almost don't feel worth it by themselves
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Warden's Keep add a chest for your camp that you can store stuff in? I downloaded it, but I can't find the thing. Am I missing something? Keep in mind I'm still fairly early into the game, but I've already picked up a few awesome things I can't use yet.

It isn't added to your camp, it's at the Wardens Peak after you complete the quest there.

Dang. So what's the recommended level for tackling Warden's Peak? Then again I may be doing things out of order; the first place I went after the world opened up was the Dalish camp, and I'm picking up several things I can't use yet as well as running into revenants that kick my ass.

You could have handled it straight out of Lothering, really. Any time is good.

Warden's Peak, you mean? OK, I'll give it a whirl once I'm done with these werewolves that love hanging around hordes of animate skeletons for some reason.

unless you want a non crappy version of the warden commanders armor for killing
Reading on the official boards, sounds like RtO was released this morning on Xbox Live much to Bioware's suprise even. It's like one cluster F after another with this Dlc, still no word on the PC or PS3, but people are downloading and buying it legit now.

sophia
because the drop scales to level
It can be scaled after you obtain it, actually. I usually do the quest straight out of Lothering, get a Steel version of the armor, then sell it to the Wardens Keep vendor and buy it back as Dragonbone later.

It's not even that difficult.
Any scalable item will scale to your level if you put it in the Warden's Keep chest, leave, then come back.
Warden Commander Armor, Warden Longsword, and any other random weapons or armor will scale up.
For example, in my second game I decided that I hated the look of standard leather armor on females. Since I didn't want to keep Leliana in her Chantry Robe the entire game, I got her a set of Dalish armor. So when it was time to use her to defend the gate near the end of the game, I tossed it in the chest. Bam, Drakeskin Dalish armor.
Return to Ostagar is now unexpectedly available for the Xbox 360. We will be making the PC version available later today and will have the PS3 version available later.
Please DO NOT discuss the story of Return to OStagar in thsi forum. Please use the Official Campaign Quests and Storyline forum here to discuss the story: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/47/index
edit : Rumor is someone over at Microsoft messed up the release date with an 09 instead of the 10.
