If your actions cause several party members to leave, what happens during the battle of Denerim for when you have to use your "leftover" party members to defend the gates? My first play through, I had 4 people outside of my main party to hold everything down with, but this next playthrough I just started, I am pretty much planning on really pissing off a lot of people. Am I just going to have to do it with whatever I have left, even if it's only one or two people?

You just don't do that part. What's his name just says "I guess there will be no one to help defend the gate"
So new patch. Any official notes for XB360?
What's this I hear about new bugs?
I am also curious.

On January 13, there will be an update to the XBox 360 version of Dragon Age: Origins. This update will resolve an issue that caused the four achievements earned from the Warden's Keep and Stone Prisoner DLC to not appear during the first four days of the game's launch. If you have already completed the requirements for these achievements, they will appear automatically when you next start Dragon Age: Origins while signed in to the EA servers.
That actually doesn't work on the PC version. You have to sell it and come back and buy it back for an expensive price to level it up later.
Really?
I'm surprised at the number of arbitrary differences between the PC and Console versions.
It worked for me on the PC version. I put my tier 2 Warden Armour (it was tier 2 when I got it at the end of the quest) in the chest, went to camp, came back, and it was tier 4 when I got it out.
Odd. I'm on the console and the box didn't work. I had to sell it to the store and buy it back.
You left the Keep, went somewhere else, and came back, right?
Also, it's worth noting that it seems to "reroll" it based on your level. I've come back and had pieces of the armor vary from tier 4 to tier 7. If that happens, grab the high ones and repeat for the others.

Yeah I definitely left and came back and tried various combinations.
Doesn't bother me really, I partially feel like I cheated even if I paid some coin for the upgrade.

Yeah, Landsmeet takes a while. Stick with it - once you get through the actual Landsmeet (the meeting), it's off to do what you were supposed to be doing. Fight the Blight.

I got all 4 of my forces together, we had a nice little speech with Loghain and Howe and some girl. I figured, it's battle time!
But no! You gotta save the queen! Ugh.
Okay bitch, I rescue-hey wait what, WHY ARE YOU GETTING ME THROWN IN JAIL?!
Ugh, now I have to get out of jail.
Yay, I'm out of jail. What? You still wanna be queen? Ugh.
No, look, fuck you. You're marrying Alistair and liking it, bitch.
This is taking forever to get past this point. I'm 30ish hours into this game and I'm tired of this part. It's just dragging and dragging.
Someone tell me I'm close to killing/sparing Loghain. Please.
Yes.
...once you finish the Alienage
I'm on my second runthrough...
And I'm not looking forward to going through every little detail and shit of the Landsmeet, although I am looking forward to killing Loghain and his daughter.
I didn't like how Alistair was being such a douche when I spared Loghain the first time and became a drunken hobo at the very end. If they bring him back in the expack when I move that character save to Amarathine and he starts shit up i'm just going to kill him too.

I kind of like that idea too, actually. :P
I wish...
that it could go something like this:
Eamon: Anora's aid is here, she says the queen was captured!
You: excellent, call the lands meet, Alistair will go unopposed.
So, Return to Ostagar purchased and played. I don't have a big beef with the idea of DLC, so I enjoyed it. I thought for the most part, the things that seemed weirdest (spoilered just in case):
i.e., looting for Cailan's armor and Duncan's weapons and fighting the ogre that killed Cailan
were really pretty tastefully done. Seemed much less weird when I actually played it and realized how they were going about it.
It was kinda short, but that was expected. And I haven't encountered any bugs.

It's probably not likely, but I hope the accidental release of the DLC prompts them to release it early for the PC. I'd buy it if it's out now, but I'm not one to do multiple play-throughs of an rpg. If it comes out after I'm done I'll be far less likely to get it. I guess I could make a permanent save and just wait and go back to that to play it after I beat the game, but I won't have nearly as much interest in it then since nothing will affect my main game.

They've said the PC version should be up tomorrow morning and the PS3 version 'later'.

Was the 360 not accidental then? Because that's what I heard.

I think so. I'm sure if the release date was so close, they'd have given a date. They'd just said 'end of January'. My guess is the 360 and PC versions were ready, and they were waiting to finish up the PS3 version, MS slipped it on Live, and instead of telling them to take it down, they decided to put the PC version out as well and wait on the PS3 version.
This DLC is an hour long?
I'm fed up with this weaksauce. Nickel and diming for tiny quests is laaame.
Consider the fact that it's, again, cheaper than the last DLC (Wardens Keep was cheaper than Stone Prisoner, this is cheaper than Wardens Keep). They're sorting their pricing out.
Hell, I can't even purchase and download RtO from xbox live marketplace. It's giving me an error message stating the item is not available at this time.

So this costs what? 400 points?
I don't know MS's crazy point conversions. On the PC, Stone Prisoner was $15us, Wardens Keep was $7us, this is $5us.

To go along with that, Stone Prisoner is now being handed out free with new copies of the game in a unlockable code form, as well as the Mass Effect2/DA:O Dragon Armor set. When I bought this game on a whim 2 weeks ago for my PS3, I didn't know about that bonus.
WK and RtO are definately worth, in my eyes at least, the pittance being charged. Especially RtO, which seems to be as others said a simpler, shorter side thing. I have neither yet, however, because my PS3's internet is being stupid.

Stone Prisoner was always bundled for free with the game new. It's an incentive to buy new (some extra content and a well written new character for free) and a punishment for buying used (if you buy used, you have to pay a really high premium for the content. They lost the sale, so if you want the content, they want more money from you for it).

I wonder how DLC will be handled after Awakening. Expand the world post-Awakening or add more to the base game?
Gah...finally beat the High Dragon on the mountain top...but I feel like I just got lucky or something.
Used Shale as tank. Leliana and Warden (rogue) were archers Wynne was healing+ranged attacks. I think what did it for me was that even though Shale was the tank, I didn't use melee on him. I switched to Rock Mastery and just stood away from my other three party members and used Hurl Rock on him while everyone else plinked away. The High Dragon focused on Shale almost the entire time which is why I felt like I got lucky. Wynne healed Shale as needed and we just slowly whittled the HD down bit by bit.

Armour level affects enemy offense. You didn't get lucky - Shale was just higher armour level than your other people, so the High Dragon focused on Shale. It also helps that Shale cannot be swallowed. It's like instawin taking Shale against a Dragon.

I think I got lucky with that too. My main and Alistair (both tanks) got killed almost immediately. Then I just plinked away with Morrigan and Liliana from range. Neither had anything that could do significant damage to it at the time. I actually think the Dragon got stuck or something. I don't know if Dragons actually move but it was facing somewhat away from me and seemed to only do sucking my characters in, tail attacks, and stomp. Morrigan had heal at that point so it couldn't touch the remaining two. It would suck one in and I'd just run away with that character. It might get one tail whip or stomp on me before I got away.
The other Dragon however:
[Character Quest Spoiler]
Flemeth was much more epic. She hit with lots of fire attacks. If it wasn't for taking Wynne I'm sure I would have been destroyed. Blizzard was a help too. In the end I got to see Alistair do a fatality to Flemeth while decked out in Templar gear. I got a kick out of that.

Pretty sure it's like Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep - it takes place during the game.
PC. Looks better, controls better. It was designed for the PC, and it shows. Is your new PC a quad core? If it is, it's even been optimized for them.

I think I played about an hour, but I wasn't really paying attention to time.
I also admit to being biased, I love this game, so anything that gives me more Dragon Age is a good thing.
