That was actually pretty funny. At the end, you could hear the taxi's engine struggling. "Come on, little taximinivan, you can do it!" And he's got some unholy APC/F1 racer hybrid in comparison...

I think Klyka was subconsciously wanting to play Katamari.
I posted about it on Viddler, but I do believe Taxi starring Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah and some supermodels for some reason was a re-something of that French movie Klyka was talking about.
Of course, I paused the video as Klyka said he'd look it up, so if he ends up mentioning it I'll just look silly.

Part 27 - Niko Vs. Cardboard Box[Blip.tv][Viddler] - Featuring Klyka and Owenashi
You know, I didn't have a problem with Packie and company running in front of me. I did, however, mistake one of them for an enemy and shot him like 10 times until he died.
In the head.
Because I pretty much used the pistol exclusively.

I think what happened at the toll booth is that you jumped past the one for going onto the bridge and tried to pay at the one for going off the bridge.

Yesterday's episode is one of the best to date. It is a culmination of sordid and hilarious events punctuated by perfect commentary. Cheers, gentlemen.

this man speaks the truth!
also, thanks to the part before this last one (26 then) i now listen to gamma ray. blame adus :P
i don't really see why this would be the worst video... it turned out pretty good actually.
can't be arsed telling you about all the good stuff in the video now; watched it on blip because viddler hasn't finished encoding yet. and commenting on these little things would be useless here. so let's just say: it was fun.
Yup, I'm starting to get those ads before your videos Adus.
edit: I keep yelling at my screen for Niko to stealth kill some suckers in the warehouse. For a game with no stealth system and a pretty bad cover mechanic, it sure likes to have firefights.
double edit: So you're re-editing the edited videos to cut out dead air/phone time/travel time? Madness.
Yeah, like cooljammer touched on, the lack of at least a half-assed attempt at Stealth was more than frustrating for me considering it had more of a right to be in this game than it did back in San Andreas. CJ was a gangbanger dude, but Niko was a damn soldier. You can't tell me with all his close-combat training (that he obviously has, given the cutscenes he's used it in and the attempts to make it prominent with the ever-so-slightly better melee system), he never learned how to stalk a dude and stab him in the neck.
But still, that was a good set, definitely. And I'm with Klyka all the way as far as keeping the recordings you've already got. Sure, they might not be intentionally funny, but the commentary always helps with that, and seeing you try and figure out just where to go or what to do often ends in funny ways.
If you really wanted to re-record missions, you could try it in a B-Side fashion where you try to do things a little sillier or such, or even just differently than the first time, to go hand-in-hand with the first run. But I definitely wouldn't just forego the first run for an intentionally comical/different attempt for the reasons already listed.
Seeing that that conversation in the video was had over a week ago, you can see in an earlier post that I already chose not to do that.
Just for clarification though, the "spirit" of a Let's Play is to be entertaining. Not to just watch someone run through a game the first time normally. Most LPs aren't blind runs.
I say the best LPs can be blind runs. Unexpected, and all that. The trick is to balance that sense of discovery and fan polling with not being a total sucky person playing.

I agree with this. I feel that Blind Runs are more genuine and spontaneous then non-blind runs.
Well it's a controller vs a keyboard and mouse, so different enough. Driving is a bit easier, but camera control isn't as good and most weapons are auto-aimed. You could make arguments for both but I'm used to the keyboard now.

Good man. I was worried about you for a minute there.

Part 26 - Music: Insurrection by Gamma Ray... again [Blip.tv] [Viddler] - Featuring Klyka and Owenashi
My suggestion is to use the blip links more. Maybe it's just me since I look at the videos so much, but the quality seems much less blocky.

BOY do you look silly.
I kind of wished you would have taken that Faggio too, but at least we got to see a guy get hit by a few cars instead.
I sure hope those Molotov Cocktails work out better than your grenades did. (Or not. Whichever's funnier.:P)

Sweetness. Always fun to watch. Love the random acts of violence against hot dog carts.
I didn't actually buy the Molotov. I just picked it up. And then set it back down while it was lit.
"No discount after all the bullets I've bought? This'll show him!"
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Aww, I missed that. Oh well, it's for the best. At least you still have grenades.

Also Adus, really enjoying the Saint's Row 2 LP.

The rusted-out Vigero is one of the best cars in the game, wtf!
