Title says it all. IF there is an old (or not so old) game that you just can't remember the title of, tell us what you do remember about it . Judging by how these threads have gone in the past, chances are pretty good some one will remember what your game was.

I'm trying to find this game for the SNES. All I remember is that the character you play as was some kind of animal person, he had to collect these seven(?) gems, and the first level was a wild west/mining town, that may have been on fire. It might have been made by Travelers Tales but I'm not sure.

I remember this game, I had a boomerang, and part of it was racing. That's all I remember, except for something to do with a bull.

OK, here's one that's been bothering me for a while.

NES wargame. Hexagonal movements. May have been "modern" or slightly in the future setting. There were infantry, jets, etc.

One thing I remember is, for example, when one of your jets was attacked, you could choose a defensive maneuver. It was a random thing, you could go left or right and stuff, if you got it right your plane got to live to see another day.

It's fairly vague, but it's all I can remember. I do remember loving it when I was a kid.

I'm trying to find a PC game. It had an isometric view point and you had to roll around as a character on a ball or something similar, collecting stuff. It had an overworld and lots of levels, no shooting though I think. There a 2nd game that also had robots on balls speed around and shoot shit maybe but that was 3D, also on the PC.

Your NES game was a NATO simulation called "CONFLICT".

Sounds like Little Big Adventure, but I don't think you rolled around on a ball in that.

I'm trying to remember a game... I honestly can't remember what system. It could have been NES, SNES or Genesis

It was like a spec ops or SWAT kind of game. The first level started out where you were trying to sneak into a building and there were searchlights everywhere, so you had to keep moving forward and ducking behind cover to avoid the searchlights.

There may have been a part where you either had to climb up the side of a building, or it was a sniper part (I just remember a lot of windows)

When you were inside the building, it gave you a floorplan on one part of the screen and a view of the room you're in on another part. I think it was a first person view.

I don't remember much more than that. It's been bugging me for a while though.

You're looking for Rescue: The Embassy Mission. I bought this game a couple years ago because I remember loving it as a kid and yes, it's still awesome.

It's a platformer where you go around the world collecting the "8 Eyes" from the various locales. Sort of in the same way Mega Man has to tackle the various enemies to gain their powers.

It was the first game I ever played where the multiplayer aspect was SIGNIFICANTLY different, depending on whether you controlled the Hero or controlled as his pet falcon.

I want to know what NES game I played....

It's a shump about a spaceship fighting a planet that looks alive and has an evil giant mouth. It starts off as a horizontal shooter for a few levels, and then has a shitload of vertical scrolling levels. These levels do not depict you travelling up. They have you travelling down. The look and feel is very creepy. It seemed to go on forever and I couldn't finish it.

I've asked about this one before, but to no avail, so I'll try it again.

So, this game was a PC game, I'm not entirely sure when it came out but I played it on my Win95 computer back in the day. It was on one of my buddy's demo CDs from somewhere I think. The game was basically a tangram puzzle in which pieces were brought in via a conveyor belt at the bottom of the screen. You had to fit these shapes into the puzzle to make a certain picture, there were small and large triangles and squares and things like that. There was also a chute on the side that you could place unwanted tiles into to dispose of them. If the pieces on the conveyor backed up all the way out of the screen you had to start over again.

The one thing I really remember about this game is that it had a creepy Alice in Wonderland motif going on. There was the Mad Hatter and the Caterpillar and such, but they were kind of warped and a little unsettling.

Is it possible that anyone here knows what this is?

I searched through a lot of Alice games. There's a mah jong one. One that looks to be a FMV point and click game for Windows 95 back in the day. One where she goes into Vivaldi's Four Seasons and does a lot of minigames, but none ofthem seem to fit with that. Even some creepy Japanese horror game.

The only one I could really rule out, because I couldn't find any other information, was this.

    Alright, mine's slightly different.

I used to play this game on a mac in my school like 15 years ago that I am 90% sure was called "Danger Swamp." You played as a stick figure racing to the right and hopping over pits and onto platforms, constantly fleeing the left side of the screen, where a green bar is slowly advancing to the right and will kill you if it touches you.

I can find absolutely no evidence this game ever existed on the internet, but last "Name That Game" thread there were at least 2 other people who said they played this.

Can anyone find anything out there about this game?

There was a Macintosh game I played way back in the late 80s and I can't find any information on it. It seemed to be set in a weird futuristic sci-fi world. Everyone seemed to wield some sort of sword instead of guns, though. I found the combat difficult because all you could do was thrust your sword in a weird underhanded way.

It was a sidescroller, but I don't think it was linear at all. You would walk into different areas and people would react to you via speech bubbles over their heads.

I only ever played it at a friend's in another state. I tried copying it, but couldn't get it to work on my own Mac. Eventually I lost interest in it after getting an NES and playing my Mac a lot less.

I always thought it was called something like "Barrakus", but I can't find any evidence of a Mac game anywhere close to that title.

It simply had the best screenshots, and seemed interesting that they offered an online way to play.

However, if you still have your NES, i've had luck simply posting ads on craigslist about wanting a certain game, and finding TONS of folks who want to sell you their entire collections dirt cheap, or simply trading games for the one you want. Amazon/Ebay works too.

You can always browse the libraries at:

Thanks, but it doesn't look like that site would have it. It's Apple II/IIgs games, and this was on a Mac.

Just remembered a game I had on Amiga but can't remember the name.

I remember that it was in Vietnam and you had like,a group of guys and had to get across a big map. And there were ambushes and booby traps and so on.

I also remember the music being fucking awesome.

This game is Brattacas. I remember playing it on the demo machines at Lechmere and EB back in the late 80s.

I'm almost afraid to think of when I played this game, it was quite some time back... maybe 25
    years ago?

It was an adventure game like the Space Quest series, but it was in full colour, not CGA or anything. I remember being in an insane asylum and I think you had to escape. It was viewed from the side mostly, not top down, hand drawn backgrounds.

    Any clues?

    Cannon Fodder, possibly?
