But then he'd have to wait around 8 months to play Mass Effect 2. I'd say you should complain to them about it, see if they can devote a bit more time to knocking out whatever kinks are in the system. If it still flatlines afterwards, then yeah, might be time to retire it.
A sudden urge to boot up Skies of Arcadia distracted me from joining tonight's Halo for Haiti, but I'll log on tomorrow to participate.
While having the MythicDeux maps there for the vanilla Halo 3 disc would be nice for not disc switching, I
- don't have the hard drive big enough to just leave them there
- if I'm going to burn 800msp at this point, i'd burn it on the Halo Wars gametype DLC
- I don't even think I have a working H3 Vanilla anymore.
- everybody else would have to disc switch anyway
will be interesting to see how much it actually sells
So after watching Fyre use campaign's plasma rifle in Halo CE and trying to use it in matchmaking last night I've come to the conclusion that it used to be a much more viable weapon than it is now. I understand that plasma is now pretty much there for taking down shields but the kill factor in the original is nice.

So after watching Fyre use campaign's plasma rifle in Halo CE and trying to use it in matchmaking last night I've come to the conclusion that it used to be a much more viable weapon than it is now. I understand that plasma is now pretty much there for taking down shields but the kill factor in the original is nice.
In other news, who wants to play Grifball this afternoon because I sure do.
It's not just the kill factor, but the stun effect the plasma rifle had in H1.
In H3, the bolts don't move nearly fast enough and don't do enough damage when they hit.
