I was actually surprised when I downloaded it the other day. Only took maybe an hour.
I'm pretty sure the oxbox download servers have dwindled in size since the 360's launch. They probably originally had several racks of state of the art machines hosting content, each with a solid gigabit connection to the internet.
4 or 5 years later, everything is out of warranty and dead machines have been rotated out to make room for 360 content servers. There's probably nothing but a lone 2.4ghz machine, built from parts of his dead brothers. Hanging out the back is a crusty old fiber optic cable that winds to a single tray of scsi disks, which used to be a striped-parity'd-mirrored raid 10 set and is now raid 5 with a dead parity drive. The entire rack has a single 100 megabit connection, because all the gigabit connections were moved to new machines.
Whenever it crashes, the on-call expert spends half a day getting it back up, hating every minute of his life.
Not that I am borrowing from my own experiences to fabricate this story or anything.

Now see, Blur Double Dash I could get behind, it would be pure insanity if the normal game is any indicator (really, 20-man races and battle mode!). Regular Double Dash, no thanks.

So...does anyone still play ODST? Also how can you get the achievement for beating the game on legendary, does it have to be solo or can it be coop can you be a guest in someone elses game?
Ugh, I remember why I quite playing this game now. Five games in a row, all Team Slayer Valhalla. AR and Pistol starts. Two people quit out of the game almost every game and we get camped every game in our base and since we have no ranged weapons there isnt a lot we can do, oh and there is a guy in the basement with a shotgun. Lots of fun. No one on the team attempts teamwork and has a mic and I had yellow bars the entire time. One game we wont 50-3 the rest we lost horribly.
I chased an enemy into a room with my shotgun and shot him once and two more enemies spawned right next to him...wtf? This happened several times. Oh and I am in Korea and after 30 minutes no games were found so I had to filter for quickest games and I lag every single game now.
I dunno, complaining about lag in a game whose player base is, I'm assuming, primarily American when you live in Korea seems kinda daft. The other complaints seem valid though.
I am pretty sure there are people in Asia playing Halo 3, Taiwan I heard it is pretty big in. At the least connect me to Europe or Australia, the US seems a little far too me.
Not a bad idea, but I don't know Korean. I can try though.
The idea is if you select korean it will match you with people who live nearby because people that live nearby do speak korean, wheras if you select english it will match you with the nearest english speakers.
