If you play a Spec Ops level with an online buddy, will you still earn stars for the mission? Does it go toward both players or just the host?

The terminal level is fucking brutal.

It'll count towards both players, unless you're playing a mission that one of you hasn't unlocked, in which case only the person who's unlocked it will earn stars.

It would be so retarded if this wins a best writing award. I enjoy the multiplayer, but (no exaggerations, I just checked) I don't own any other game with as stupid a story so poorly told. Pants on head retarded in every way.

Anyway, in the multiplayer I keep getting these little bursts of lag (playing on PC). They last about 5 seconds and I can run around just fine, but when they end I'm back where I started. I often get killed by these, and killcams show me as standing still for the whole time. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I usually have full green bars, so it's not a normal lag thing.

RE: The F2000: Sure, at close range it's murder, but the fact that you will struggle to hit, let alone kill anyone at long range is a pain.

Oh, god, so, so true this. Even single fire, which is hard as hell cause the gun always wants to put out at least 2 bullets, the first bullet will hit at range but then the second and third will go off and diddle each other in the bushes somewhere 50' behind the guy. Maybe the fourth and fifth will connect but by that time the motherfucker's turned and decided to shoot his laser-accurate TAR (for comparison) a couple of times into your head. Blah, it' not a bad gun though.

okay, so i've been thinking about this for a while now
i really, really dislike the idea that a team performing well in a domination match, well ahead of the enemy, can be ended based on the K/D of one person on the enemy team. in deathmatch, go nuts, nukes make sense there.
but in objective gametypes the players should be rewarded for actually accomplishing the objective. i find it endlessly frustrating when we hold two points consistently for a whole match, only to lose 20 points away from the end because 3 dudes kept trying to kill one camper.

not many things make sense in this game, but this one takes the cake. not only are they rewarded with extra support in spades for killing mans, but they can also win the game on kills alone. i don't play objectives to get fucked out of win like that, and it cheapens my experience.

Okay wow, got the FAMAS mastery, and then levelled up at the end of the game. FAL here we come.

For anyone keeping score, that's forty FMJ kills in three levels.

I'm finding the FMJ kills a lot easier on SCAR in team deathmatch than the FAMAS in hardcore team deathmatch. When you think someone is behind a wall, being able to spray the whole wall makes it pretty easy. I imagine the LMGs would be pretty easy too, but I'm not looking forward to trying to master a sniper rifle, especially because the sway is ridiculous.
I'd love if all the challenges were unlocked from the start. It's stupid that my assault rifle headshots didn't count towards the precision challenges until level 20ish, and I'd be so pissed off if I got two headshots with one bullet before the challenge unlocked.

I don't know about weapon-specific challenges but regular challenges do unlock before you can see them...you just can't see them.

I got ATM (payback with a throwing knife) way before I had that challenge unlocked and when I did unlock it, it was already complete. I didn't need to do it again.

I have about 50 headshots for my SCAR listed under the SCAR's challenges, but only 10 under rifle headshots, because that didn't unlock until recently. It's annoying that the headshots I got before it unlocked don't count, because I'm not good at getting headshots, I always aim at the body.

that's not always the case. i was doing sunblock (3 cuav, 1 match) and it wouldn't give it to me until level 60something when the challenge unlocked

I see your point, but on the other side of the issue, I've had my team stuck at one point while the other team camped us. Even if we killed them and got out, they would respawn before we could get to another point. They would push us back back to our one point. Most of their team was just doing suicide runs to keep us from moving out. Why shouldn't the other team be punished for getting killed so much? The only thing that really bothers me about the nuke is once you get it, you can deploy it at anytime. It's pretty lame playing through a match knowing that no matter what you do the other team is going to launch a nuke and win in the last 20 seconds of a match.

Headquarters pro is a great gametype. Claymores really shine... you know where enemies are moving and most of the time you know what direction they are coming from. Claymores will stay around until you respawn, so if you die while your team has the HQ (and are waiting to respawn) your claymores will still be active.

When I'm in a group of 6 we usually _don't_ use clan tags, because people do exactly what I do when I see a group of six prestiged-at-least-once people: back out. It takes forever unless we're all using different tags.

This. There really should be some sort of indicator. I know there's Mercenary, but honestly 90% of the time I do mercenary, the matches are even more lopsided than in regular TDM. And I'm always on the horrible team, seems like. I can't play this anymore today anyway. I've gone, at best, 1:1.5 in the last 4 games I've played. I was doing far better with the red-dot than with the ACOG on my FAL. Which is weird, because I loved the ACOG on my SCAR.

Unfortunately the ACOG sway is worse on the Intervention than on any other sniper rifle. Still fun, but I wish there wasn't that extra disadvantage.

There are "indicators". If all of the high scoring people from last round get put on one team, they are in a party. If one team has lots of microphone icons and yours doesn't, they are a party.

I wish there was mercenary domination, because TDM sucks. Or maybe I should start playing with others.

It's the financial capital of Pakistan. I remember because I looked it up before launch.

Oh, and because it has left me genuinely gobsmacked, it deserves to be quoted twice.

Karachi. Never saw it before last night.

What. This map has appeared so many times for me, to say nothing of the fact that it's my least favourite map, that it isn't even funny. Don't get me wrong, I believe you, but a few of the regulars I roll with will probably remember that a time a few days ago when Karachi was vote-skipped, only for Karachi to appear again for several seconds, before mercifully changing to Afghan.

It was probably just a delay with the system, but it pretty much sums up my feelings about that map.
