Too much Karachi in Domination. Way too much. I've quit playing it the usual way. Now if I spawn A side I immediately break for the rooftops over B and ask someone to secure it and I cover them from above. I can sit up there for quite awhile and get a ton of kills. Once I got up there, got 5 kills, laid down right where I stood, took my dog out to pee, came back and got my Harrier. The other team got beat down that match.
To add to map oddness, have yet to see a game of Rust on the PC.
PC as well, and I've only seen it once. And that was one of my first matches, so I wasn't sure whether it was the norm or what. Now that I'm used to slower, larger maps, I've never had another chance to play it.

Isn't rust essentially strictly FFA or 3rd person? I've seen it come up a few times on 3rd person, man CTF is fun on that map.

As disturbing as that is, yeah. I wish there were merc almost every game type. HC dom would be fun but it would be so fucking hard to secure a point, the tubes would just devastate anyone in the area, as well as the C4, though ricochet might mitigate it a bit. Maybe if you capted (<—hehe, looks funny w the 't' in there) the point faster? I would like to see the mode though.

It's been said a million times but seriously Infinity ward, how about a way to get regular and up to date info about game updates and stuff about your game that doesn't involve sifting through dozens of replies to stupid youtube links and retarded comments about comic books or stupid random links? Is there no way to tell when you're in a game with a full party on the other team? No icon or anything that says "Hey, these 6 dudes here are partied."?
Tags? Usually a party like that will all have clan tags.
When we play with a full party on XBL (either 6 or 9), we do not run the same clan tag. This is because as soon as the lobby counts down to start the match, and they see 9 guys running [PA], they all leave and it takes literally 10 minutes to get a game going.
An easy way to tell is if they're talking to each other, or if you stayed for more than a game, if they all wound up on the same team again. Also they'll all join the lobby simultaneously.
New rage-point on the matchmaking: getting thrown into a crap game for whatever reason (incompetent teammates, all-clan opponents, multiple hackers, etc) and leaving only to have the matchmaking throw you back into the same freaking game. This will happen multiple times in a row, because it can't seem to figure out that I left that game 3 times because I don't want to play it.

Also, you can tell from straight numbers, if there're 8 ppl in a match itll start a 4v4 match. If it doesn't start then there's likely a group of 5 or 6, you can extrapolate as needed. To this point, I think 7v7(6) is minimum for GW and 3rd person i'm not sure but probably 3v3.

I really wish there was a way to disable those CAPTURE icons in Domination. That and the skull things that pop up when a teammate dies. They often obscure my vision too much for my liking.

Teammates' names should fade after their initial appearance, too. There's been so many times when we've been running as a group, or even just with a shield guy, and where you're aiming is obscured by blue names.

I like the way Gears does map voting. Instead of it picking a map and choosing another map after veto, it puts both choices up-front and gets you to pick between them. It eliminates that 'shit, we got Quarry, but what if we veto and it's Wasteland' problem.
EDIT: Icon-wise, it'd be fine if they had three icons in the top-left next to the radar showing their status, coloured as you'd expect. If one is being captured by either team, it pulses as usual, but only then does it appear as a marker on the main HUD over the point itself. Still noob-friendly, and still as much info as you ever need, with the bonus of the point markers never overlapping themselves.

At release they had it so Rust only showed up in those modes, but then I guess a lot of people complained that they weren't getting all the maps they payed for or something stupid so they shoehorned it into other gamemodes in one of the patches.

I feel like I'm getting worse at this game and not better. I recently started using the M16 and I'm doing worse than I was doing with the M4 or the SCAR. It could be the burst fire over automatic fire but I that's more a sympton of my problem.
I think my problem is that I take too long to line up a shot. If I have someone in my HS, they'll generally shoot me dead before I can shoot them because I'm too slow at aiming. I'm wondering if changing the sensativity will help with me that, should I adjust it up or down? I'm sitting at 5 right now.
I can't really play the Witch well. I understand the whole deal about taking the least taken paths and ambushing, but I suck.
I get far better results taking Steady Aim instead of Commando and using a Spas 12.
Oh, and it seems people on the 360 are pegging onto how Bling 117s are broken as fuck. Played a Demolition game where they were obviously worse players, but they won just due to their overpowered size compensators.
I was under the impression that Commando doesn't affect the range on the tac-knife.

Heh, when this game isn't dick-in-blender painful, it's incredibly fun. Last night I was sniping (FAL/Thermal/Silencer) from a decline on a rooftop on Rundown. Sniped for a good 5 minutes, until I ran out of ammo. Then I sprinted from cover to cover hoping to find a weapon. Finally came up on some dude with an LMG - Sprint, Stab, Steal. Killed 2 more with the weapon I had recently acquired, got my Fearless challenge and a promotion right before the game ended. Good times.

though, I'd swap that FAL/GL out for some other gun/GL because it is difficult to save yourself when you're in an "out of grenades" scenario with a FAL.

I'd love for Rust to come up more, it's always fun and completely nuts. I've only played it maybe 4 times, though.
Rust is the only map I've played where I've been killed literally the instant I spawned. Three times in a match.
Also... quick question. Why use anything but the AUG? Just unlocked it, and holy shit. Even with Iron sights it's badass.

The only reason I don't like using that default class is because it doesn't have Commando, which seems kind of bad for a knifing class.
