Anyway, I can't believe that silly goose badger (:?) actually tried to ruin our fun on that Terminal Sabotage match. You were right to rip that guy a new one, Scatman.
G18 akimbo with extended clips is retarded. I call that setup monsieur le bullet hose. You just run around a corner and gun down half a team before they can react.
Still not sure if I prefer the bling pro for extended mags or marathon though.

I got Extended Mags for the Striker today.
It's... it's kinda silly. Much prefer the Grip or the Holo.
I find myself gravitating towards unlocking all the secondary weapon attachments since they don't have the retarded FMJ bullet penetration kills part holding them back.
Come to think of it the bullet penetration challenges would make far more sense on CoD4 maps, vacant, killhouse etc would tear through them decently. The MW2 maps don't seem to have quite as much opportunity for it.

I'm just a little sad that secondary weapons don't get camo. All but the launchers get challenges for headshots, but no camo.
I still can't believe how I got robbed of my nuke.
I was playing hardcore TDM, and I was 23-0 on Rundown. I had a harrier and just finished my chopper gunner before my harrier went away, and when I came back, a guy was standing right in front of me with his back turned, as if he just spawned. My harrier kills the guy, but it was at the perfect angle to also kill me.

Man, if I could get Red Tiger Deagles, I would be on that shit so fast.
Anyways; I had a really good set of FFA matches tonight/this morning. The group of people I was playing with were funny, polite, and post-pubescent. We ended up playing as a big 8 man group with nobody leaving for about 2 hours. Two guys left and we actually got two boosters into the game, and all 6 of the original guys went on a mission to fuck them over. It was one of the best non-PA experiences I've had.
Also I got Marathon Pro for the first time in six prestiges.
edit: Alright, cool thing. Scrapyard, the L-shaped plane. You know that white truck directly next to it? If you blow it up and climb the hood --> roof ---> top of the cargo bay on the back, you can jump onto the top of the L-shaped plane from there. Useful, especially on SnD probably.
Is there a way to get out of the map in the back corner of derailed? We played a match last night and a guy was sniping from inside the building behind the tanker truck right at the edge of the map. He had a tactical insertion on the truck, so I assume you need to go up on top of it to get back there.

If you really care, you could just YouTube it.
But really, don't, because seriously, YouTube is the #1 propagator of all of these fucking glitches.
So my friend was telling me about how he got into a "totally awesome scrim league" that's "100% pro." All they ever play is hardcore S&D. Nobody is allowed to have any perks or killstreaks. Certain weapon attachments and equipment are banned (I didn't ask him which ones).
All I could do was shake my head. Counter-Strike is 10 fucking years old, I'd like to think we've moved on a bit.

I guess Bling without a second, Hardline that does nothing with no killstreaks, and maybe Steady Aim that doesn't have a huge effect, especially if everyone has it.

Oddly enough, in the SP portion they seem to be treated as primaries. I've seen Strikers with both woodland and digital patterns, arctic and woodland camo M1014s and a few other oddities. I think they were switched for secondaries fairly late into the development.
Alright, I've been trying to play with my brother online and we've been getting nothing but shit from IWNet.
We are able to play in private games and Spec Ops just fine together but as soon as we touch multiplayer everything goes to hell. If we join a game together, we might get into a lobby but it will never have us both join the same game. Sometimes it will just plain disconnect one of us or kick one of us out of the lobby. Sometimes we even manage to make it to the loading screen but it will get hung up at "Setting up Game" and disconnect either one or both of us. There is a 0% success rate of us getting in an online game together.
I should note that we are playing off the same router, so I can't count out that as a variable. Has anyone had any luck keeping parties together on the PC? Also, has anyone else had problems playing with one or more people on the same router and been able to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Last night my buddy brought over his monitor and his 360, and we both played online via the same router. It was actually pretty fun, and I hope we do it again. Maybe I'll drink less the next time. My last 4 games were... not great.
I hear that the matchmaking is better on 360 but I still can't get this garbage to work on the PC. It's so frustrating since my brother and I were both looking forward to gunning down silly geese together. Other forums I've seen basically say that IWNet is just plain frickin' broken and they can't keep parties together regardless.
What's worse is that this has been out for over 2 months now and there has nary been a word said about fixing this anywhere.
I assume you are both behind the same router and have both set up a static IP and configured it correctly? Just beause it says your NAT is open doesn't mean it is.
It's not bad at all, you just have to adapt to it. Burst-fire for distances, full-auto for halls.
This is only true if distance means 20'. Anything beyond that and it only works if the target is not moving, will not be moving and isn't going to shoot back at you in any way. I did grow to like it a bit as I mastered it though.

This might be nit picking, but I was overall disappointed with the whole invasion of America. Most of it just doesn't make any sense to me at all. Invading from Russia to the United States just spells a total logistical disaster on the Russian's part. The cinematic clearly shows they came in via long range aircraft. Okay, that's plausible for a suicide mission. However, where are they getting all of their supplies from? There is no Naval Vessels with massive amounts of supplies stored of them, and its not like you can go to Walmart to buy 5.45 rounds for your AK47. Then where were they getting that aircraft superiority at during Washington DC? You invade the US where we can refuel our aircraft within hours and have them redeployed. Russia on the other hand would have to get to our bases. Quickly repair any damage from the invasion, bring in ordnance, and all that sexy stuff to even combat our forces. I mean, by the time they move into a base we'd already be all over them. Bleh, I'll cut it short. Overall, I just felt like IW just wanted to "shock" us with a war on the home front.
I do wish they would've did something more on the lines of a suicide run on Washington DC where a modified super carrier or two that was designed for mass unload would've deployed right off Chesapeake Beach. Then the nationalists would attempt a scorched earth policy until they would be destroyed as a last symbol of terrorism. Could've been cool to have a "civilian" perspective where you are just chilling out in rush hour traffic, then the radio goes off about the super carrier and mixed reports about vehicles firing on civilians. Suddenly a tank convoy comes rolling down a nearby intersection and opens fire on all of the cars giving you a sort of "Run for your life!" situation ending with you getting captured and executed by nationalists. I mean, it could've made a lot more sense than Russia gaining land, air, and sea supremacy on an invasion of America.

If it makes you feel any better, the same thing roughly happened in the movie Red Dawn (hence the name of the level is "Wolverines"). IIRC, I read something about that movie in which the writer based the Russian invasion on the US on a report that was done regarding potential military weaknesses in the US. Apparently, because it doesn't make any sense to anticipate such an event, the report showed the US would be relatively unprepared for an aerial/paratrooper invasion in Colorado. Replace Colorado with Washington and you've got MW2! edit: They mention it briefly in the Red Dawn Wikipedia article: "The Soviet attack outlined in the film was a test case for the U.S. Army War College with a certain element of plausibility, given the political climate at the time the movie was released.[5]"
The sheer silliness of the whole scenario is only made better by the presence of both Swayze and Jennifer Grey. Nobody puts Baby in the basement!
On a side note, did anyone else notice they're remaking Red Dawn in 2010? The guy that played Kirk's father in the Star Trek reboot has Patrick Swayze's role. Instead of Russia it's China that's invading, though.

Of course, Modern Warfare 2 only has an AK-47. It makes sense that the Russians would invade with the 47.
except that the russians phased out the 47 in 56 for the AKM then that for the 74 in 1974

It's nice, but for some reason I keep going back to the AEK-971. I do like me some AK-patterned weapons.
But to weapon selection in this game, the criteria seemed to be "Has it been on Futureweapons?" and "Does it have more rails than Union Pacific?"
