You know what? I'd be happy if Captain Anderson was given a carrier dreadnought and ME 3 was a space sim... It could be glorious.
The more I read through the codex of ME, the more I think they were developing a space sim, and then realized nobody had joysticks anymore. Space RPGs sell well for one main reason: more dancing space ho's means more copies sold!
You know that really intense fight scene between Shepard and Saren on Virmire
It kind of loses it's intensity when you Saren through you straight through Wrex and into Garrus
"It kind of loses its intensity when you see Saren throw you straight through Wrex and into Garrus" is how I believe he would've put it if he had any grasp of the English language.
I'm pretty sure it's actually whoever is your second squadmate. Just like how if you don't have someone with a vested interest in the big Noveria choice, the second squadmate always says to kill it.

Hmm...that's interesting.
...now I'm kind of disappointed it doesn't work the way I think it does.
nah i tried that, i.e. "switching" squad position. didn't change anything. it depends on who the other squaddie is.
although tbh, that particular ending made no sense:
I just convinced saren to off himself *BANG*, hole in his head... "go make sure he's dead". BANG. another hole in his head. as if the first one didn't sort it out.

By his own admission, he's up to his eyeballs in Reaper tech. The Reapers are way more advanced than anything else existent. I don't think it's unreasonable to want to make sure.
I'm still trying to figure out what that bit about Tali means though
It doesn't work about between you two, because you give her a kiss, and because of her compromised immune system she gets space flu and dies in a week.

Well, it was shown to be more than a little justified.

The hammerhead is the dropship that drops you onto certain points of unexplored worlds
There was no mention of piloting it anywhere in the oxm review.
edit: Or I am bad at reading who knows!!!
The hammerhead is not the dropship.
Honestly I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say which is why I'm not saying anything.
But here's a quote from casey back in June.
"We're not talking too much about it yet, in part because it's one of the things that's just gone in and we want to make sure that it's going to stay the way it is in the final game before we talk too much about it. But it's definitely a different design.
It's a similar idea, in that it's a vehicle about the size of the Mako that you can use to explore these really rough alien worlds. The difference is, it moves fundamentally differently from the first Mako, where now…it basically moves similar to the way your character moves. You can strafe from left to right, you can shoot wherever you want, it's easier to target enemies that are standing right in front of you or directly overhead, and it just navigates the terrain a lot better. "
I didn't look that hard so I'm not too sure what else we've said about it.
There's more to say, for instance why OXM would imply that there is not a vehicle, but without knowing what I'm allowed to say, I need to opt to say nothing.
Being part of a public company makes life difficult sometimes, so many rules and laws about when you can say things about various stuff.
Oh, come on.
Hasn't anyone guessed it yet? Large multi-passenger vehicle, moves like a person, can cover rougher terrain than a wheeled vehicle, independent 3-axis aiming...
I'm calling it right here, right now.
But seriously, I'm 100% the Hammerhead is some type of mech. Probably 4-legged or 6-legged, like something you'd find in Chromehounds.
Oooh yeah, baby... point them cannons like a good girl... :winky:
You know I think playing ME1 is really going to skewer how I play ME2.
Case in point...
The situation with Tali and her Quarian friend.
I know Cerberus had a legitimate claim to take him and all.
But Tali's a bro...so I have to let her keep him.
Well, apparently there's a portable computer that somehow managed to record everything. The Paragon response is just to take it and the Renegade response to take the Quarian too doesn't yield anything the computer doesn't already.
Well, just finished Ascension. Not as good as Revelation since it felt like it was going somewhere, where Ascension didn't. Perhaps Retribution is a sequal to Ascension and a prequel to MA2?
I did like all the Quarian stuff, though i was hoping for a cameo from Tali.
I could definitely see Hendel being Adam Baldwin's character in ME2 as someone hypothesized two threads ago
How long does it usually take for the audiobook version to come out?

I'm pretty sure the order of squad selection does play a role in some of that dialog. For example, on the Citadel when you're tracking the signal from the gambling machine Liara was the one doing the tracking even though Tali was standing right there.

Unless I'm thinking about something different, I thought the new mako thing was a hovercraft. I remember seeing it in a picture or in the background of some video.

What are you doing google.

what
Also, I did not expect Tali to put a bullet in a certain someone's head near the ending. Apparently, the bitch is cold.
I think whoever shoots him depends on the "renegade" level of the character.
Probably goes
Wrex/Ashley(not sure whose higher) -> Garrus -> Kaiden/Tail(again, not sure whose higher) -> Liara.

Seriously, I would love it for there to be an option at the end of ME3 to tell Tali "you were always the one" and walk into the sunset without her.
Well, it was shown to be more than a little justified.

That and Tali has a markedly less prolific history of being a jackass than Cerberus. Cerberus has like
So many jackass points. They shoot three pointers all day. Every day.

It does look like they're being careful to keep the Hammerhead under wraps.
Also, sounds like it might be wise to do an abstinent Shepard run.
