Is this possible? I have an Asus P6T mobo, and I'm using my speakers plugged in to the onboard sound. Now, I also have a GeForce GTX 295 Co-op connected to the TV through a DVI/HDMI connector and S/PDIF passing through the card.
Does anyone know if it is possible to split sound between both the TV and the speakers? I want to be able to play SFIV while my wife watches internet TV without having "SONIC BOOM" play while she's watching Two and a Half Men.
I know windows media player has a devices tab to assign output to speakers or headphones. Tools > options > devices. Win7 has more playback control supposedly but I haven't messed with it.
Well, I'm using the Realtek control panel, and there's an option to have front and back inputs play different audio streams, but it doesn't have anything about splitting any 3.5mm input and HDMI.
