I mean, it's not like I'm goosestepping around in jackboots here

The boots aren't some sort of gaudy, out there thing, they're just flat black leather boots

They're durable, stable, waterproof, and in general they look better than sneakers or something

    Edit:

    They're these:

    P_190597_1202806.JPG

I wear them under my jeans, so it's not even noticeable how tall they are (which really isn't very tall), and I keep them polished black

man those look like something marilyn manson would wear

Quetzi, you're getting a lot of shit about your combat boots from people who aren't still in high school. Get real person shoes.

I'm not exactly still in high school either Sam

And I've asked for suggestions for other shoes that would take their place well, and nobody has said anything, so

You're out of high school and still wearing combat boots like a high schooler? Look just go to a store and buy some shoes. Not boots. Shoes. Unless you're going into combat tomorrow, you shouldn't need combat boots. It's not a difficult concept.

I dunno what high school you went to, but combat boots weren't something I ever saw anybody wearing then

People wore ugly sneakers in high schools around here

I'm making fun of you for wearing faggy goth shit.

    why do you wear them?
why don'tcha just get yourself some nice leather shoes

    Durability, primarily

In the winter the fact their height becomes useful at times, walking through snow or puddles or what have you

Also, of course, there's the simple fact that I already own them and I'm poor

I have a pair of converse, I tend to wear them more in the summer when it's warmer and my feet won't freeze

I like them, although every time I get a pair I'll wear them out in a couple of months, so I don't buy them that often

And I have athletic shoes for running and such, but I wouldn't wear them for anything else

They're primarily white so they get dirty really easily, and tend to get stained up

I have a couple of pairs of cheap dress shoes, although they're pretty worn out, and neither of them are that comfortable

Not comfortable enough to be wearing for a whole day anyways

I mean I typically walk I guess probably around four or five miles a day, it's not good to be wearing dress shoes through that

I'm on my feet walking around for 9 hours a day at work. Marks And Spencers over here have a type of shoe called 'footglove' to support your feet and look nice. You may want to check your if any of your shops sell that type of thing.

Converse always get wet and nasty looking and terribly cold if I wear them in snow

Admittedly I am somewhat of a small child sometimes when it comes to wintry weather, so

501s, some lovely silk shirts, some "summer" shoes and a pair of vans. Just adding options to outfits, really. I haven't bought "nice" clothes for at least six months.
