Popcorn smells way better than it actually is. I'm always like "Holy fuck, I wants me some of that popcorn" and then when eating "Y'know this is actually kinda dissapointing, and my lips are aging at 500 times the normal speed"

Unless it's movie popcorn. That stuff never fails to please.

EDIT: But it still murders your lips.

Would movie popcorn be as good as it is if you weren't watching a movie? I think it'd be regular popcorn. And that you need the whole experience for it to work it's magic.

It stands on its own. It's more about using an actual popcorn machine for me. Microwave popcorn cannot compare.

Well, see, I have a popcorn machine. So that would explain it. Nothing fancy though, just a cheap one from WalMart.

Mass Effect 2 had no business coming out on a Tuesday.

How is it? I'll pick it up on feb 22.

I missed class yesterday because I played the game until the sun rose.

    Lost all sense of time.

The game is incredibly good. Everything has been improved or changed for the beter from the first game

Do you still get those stupid 'driving around' mission?

I love that about working for a big company; "Hey can I spend $10,000 dollars on something that may never get used, and $5,000 on a course whose content I will forget in a month?"

Not only can you, but doing these things will get you a payrise next year, I absolutely insist that you do these things!

I just wish I could find a way to channel this ridiculous spending into something that would actually benefit me.

Yep, that's the great thing about big companies. My department's advertising budget is absurdly high. I'm working on a project with a $25,000 budget right now... and that's a small project.

Edit: And yet, they refuse to get me a better computer.. I just realized.... wow... how stupid.

The company that I worked last summer does software for energy companies. Budget for one project is often over a million dollars. This for one single program licence! Also the updates for the software cost hundreds of thousands. I've never thought that Adobe software is over-priced since.

Also, thanks for the suggestions for the cafeteria problem guys. I might use one of those!

What are your guys' thoughts on "races" as they pertain to pen and paper games?

Do you think that they should be entirely different species of peoples or merely factional/regional differences? It seems like no one I talk to has an opinion about it.

IDK, it depends on your setting entirely? Do you want all humans, or do you want humans and moogles and lizard men?

    Kochikens on
  • NappuccinoNappuccino Registered User regular

That depends on the context the game takes place in. Races are much more distinct and, as such, it is harder to hide their racial traits.

If its just regional, people could be really sneaky and part of the story could be one region of people trying to hide/blend in with another for some gain.,

    Neither. Hm.

Actually part of the reason for my earlier complaints is that I'm trying to eliminate classes altogether. HA! It's proving to be quite the challenge. Even so, I think I've made quite a bit of headway today.

No, I mean classy in the sense that it won't draw a bunch of nerd rage. I know I can't please everyone, but it's hard to tell what works and what doesn't. Imagine if one of the races was anthro or something. Everyone I introduced the game to would be like "lolfurries" and that would be the end of it. I'd like to avoid that situation.

You should be able to play your race as any species, provided that species actually exists in the real world and the players agree not to do anything that that species could not realistically do.

This could lead to an interesting "Homeward Bound"-based campaign, if the players are up for it...or a really boring "Homeward Bound"-based campaign, if they all pick humans instead just to be silly geese.

Maybe date her first and then sleep with her if things go well for awhile?

Most bros should forgive you if you just date for abit... but to bed her randomly I think it would be much more difficult to do so.

Also, random sex usually doesn't end well when friends are involved.
