My boss swears at his last job he was able to edit security group membership via the GAL in outlook. o_O
I've never heard of such a thing. He has no other information and google isn't helping. can anyone confirm that this feature exists?

You can't edit security group memberships AFAIK, but you can edit Distribution Group memberships, if your account as been granted permissions on that group by an admin.
