I'm, like, twenty times past that at this point. I just set aside $800 for this thing, if push comes to shove.
Oh God I hope it's not $800. My brother has Cingular, my brother needs a new phone, but there is no way I can convince him to spend that much on a phone largely so I can play with it.
How the FUCK did they keep this a secret so long? I mean seriously, everyone has been talking about an iPhone for like 6 years, and then they just blow everyone away with this thing, and no one had an clue what it would look like, or do, or anything? Fucking awesome job Apple.
The dude that runs Digg leaked a good deal of the features a while back... he knew it was tiny, he knew it ran OS X and he new it was shit hot.
Yeah, everyone has been saying that for the past 6 years.
BTW, what the fuck is "Push IMAP"?
it has to do with email. the phone doesn't query the network for email, the email server pushes it to the phone. It's a big deal actually.
Slungsolow on
fuck your forums, fuck your administrator and fuck dynagrip for getting away with the long troll.
That is when the email comes to you, rather than you having to go and see if there is anything waiting for you. Basically it works like your proper email account, and not a shitty webmail account where you only find new emails if you go and look for it. It is a big deal.
Most of this stuff seems like stuff that phones shoulda been doing 3 years ago if cell service providers weren't such dicks. Maybe this will push them into finally acting... or maybe they'll just sell these things completely locked down so that none of this shit actually works.

So like, it works like an email client on your computer? I open up Mail on my Mac, and it tells me that a message has come, and I can just click on the subject name and it opens, same thing but for mobile phones basically?

I think that this is Apple browbeating the phone industry into the new century like they did the music industry with iTunes.
