Swordfish HD-DVD Free + p&p

Be quick, play-asia made a big mistake here.

if you use paypal, the take payment immediately, completeing the contract as soon as you send the payment. They will still have a loophole to not potentially not give you the item. The re are two most likely outcomes I see - you actually get them, or, you dont get them, but get a gift voucher to make up for it. Region free and english language.

Edit, look at my join date  its honestly not spam!

Firewall wasn't that bad. It had old Indiana Jones, the mathmetician's imaginary best friend, and the T-1000 in it.

I'd be all over this (HD-DVD movies for $3 shipped) if I hadn't blown debit card by overdrafting on Chinese Food.

Firewall (Japan, HD DVD Region 2)

Man, how can I check if my HD-DVD player can play R2 HD-DVDs? I don't know if it can.

I'm assuming it can play R-Free ones, right? I don't really care about Firewall anyway, but Swordfish is pretty good.

I ordered Swordfish on a whim. Hey $3.00 for a demo HD-DVD movie that some people say is pretty good is a win in my eyes.

If/when I buy an HD-DVD player, I already got media for it.

I beleive HD dvd is inherantly region free, but firewall is a hybrid disc, it had DVD on one side, which will be region 2 coded.

No no, I think you may be on drugs. Monster's Ball is one of the worst movies ever made. It's so boring I wanted everyone in the movie to die. I hate it so much, I can't even watch the clip I made of just the Halle Berry softcore scenes.

I sent the following email to play asia
I have just ordered these items, and without comunicating to me whatsoever, they have been cancelled.

You have all my contact details, my email address and my phone number, but you have failed to contact me saying that there has been a problem.

I am incredibly disatisfied with this, if you wish to cancel an order, or even change the agreed terms of an order, you should in the very least contact me about it, never mind ask my permission.

You happilly took my money, and still have it might I add, there is no reason why you should have cancelled my order.

Firstly I would like a personal appology for your error, and an explaination for why this has occured.

Secondly I would like my order to be replaced, or if this is not possible, appropriate compensation.

    thankyou for your time

    they sent back -
    Hi Lewis,

    thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have also send out a separate email explaining the circumstances. We are currently refunding your order.

In case of any further question please do not hesitate to contact us again.

    Best regards,

    Steven
    Play-Asia.com

not to be defeated, I countered -
    LewieP wrote:
That really isn't acceptable. Firstly you should have comunicated with me BEFORE you cancelled my order, not afterwards. How do I know that any future orders won't be cancelled without my knowledge. I understand that this particular item was a misprice, but what is there to stop any you from cancelling any future orders I make, just because you decide to raise the price, after having received my payment I might add. I have scoured your terms and conditions, and no where does it state that you can choose to cancel orders after payment is received when it is your misstake. I am very dissapointed, up untill now I have had very good service from play-asia.

At the very least you should offer a goodwill gesture of some gift vouchers to make up for your mistake. There was no reason to cancel my order without my knowledge, I checked my paypal account, and saw that the money had gone, but checked 'my orders' and saw nothing, at first I was concerned that some kind of fraud had occured!

They then sent me a $5 voucher...

If you want a $5 voucher for play asia, maybe doing similar will work for you. I am pursueing more than $5, since minimum spend with that voucher is $20, so thats really a bit of a slap in the face.

Websites misprice stuff all the time. That's why the fine print at the bottom pretty much always says something like "prices subject to change without notice."

You can't really demand that PlayAsia give away free murchandise when somebody in a cubicle puts the wrong number into MySQL or whatever.

it's kind of a dickish thing to do, but most of these monkeys don't realize the shit plays into the website's hand. $5 voucher huh? Lemme guess you can only use it on a purchase of $60+ right? They win if that causes people to buy shit.

Hell, this could have been done purposefully.... maybe, most likely not.
