If I own a 1080p television the max resolution is 1920x1080, right? Or does "1080p" mean something completely different than native resolution, now?
That's the best option for resolution with a 1080p tv, yeah
I don't know how often this happens but when I used to PC on a 52" 1080P DLP it had an alarming amount of either overscan or underscan, depending on the TV view mode, so some tweaking either in the PC control panel or the TV's maintenance menu (dangerous-ish) may be required
(edit) By "alarming" I mean maybe one and a half inches on each side, which stood out like whoa until I spent an hour working out how to fix it
The pci-e slot on my motherboard is laid out such that some video cards (like my current one) fit such that you can't unlatch RAM modules without unplugging the video card entirely first

I just think it's more that video cards are fucking gigantic nowaddays
I guess they're using the pc port in all the videos

Oh man so I was playing mass effect because I am so close to level sixty
And my dad walks in and he is all what are you playing and I said mass effect and he said "what you should do is lay down the ground work"
And I was like "what"
And he said "well, when I bought your little brother modern warfare 2 I also put down 10$ on the collector's edition of mass effect 2 for you, so you should convince me to pay for the rest"

That'll take care of it

Yes to your first question.
That's what I run
On a 9 foot screen
going to bed now
I'm maybe 2 feet away from my computer and 5-6 from my tv
buuuuuuuut when my computer is hooked up to my monitor I don't have an awesome home theater system, so
scrolling through my GPU panel the max res it shows is 1920x1080
That's the best option for resolution with a 1080p tv, yeah

I recently switched back to ATI with my HD4780
Have fun with your shitty backdrop and $200 projector bulbs.
my sound and video card are so close together the vid card makes my sound card run so hot to the point where it just plain won't work
Kinda lame

SLI is fucking impossible
Also yes lamps are expensive and I have to spend 200 dollars every 5000 hours....
I am feasting on trailers now
I am PSYCHED
all you're doing is making a lower resolution bigger and wasting money
It's a novelty.
That's four cents an hour!
and does it become available midnight on the 26th
Even if you have a non-spackled, flat egg-shell white wall that you are projecting onto, it still eats up a good portion of the color.

Also, depends on the game.
I ain't played more than a few hours of tf2 on it, that's just overkill.
But Mass Effect? S'no contest.
I'm assuming because the 360 version doesn't have all the settings turned up to max and the PC does

It doesn't mean you get to play it any sooner.
Satans..... hints.....
well having played the 360 version, it's no slouch
the pc version will probably be a lot of fun once the patch comes out, though
