You have demonstrated an appalling lack of knowledge on the topic of modern PC gaming.
As a gamer,
You know what I mean. Steam servers get flooded during the preload period, if there is one, and then again during the unlock period. Once you've unlocked the game, you never have to do it again, but if there isn't a decent time buffer you'll be a day late and a dollar short.
I understand that downloading (and preloading) is something that needs to done to play a game from steam if you want to play it as soon as it comes out.
I am questioning why it is something that you get excited about. Like checking every hour to see if you can pre-load it.
I was subscribed to two PC gaming magazines for almost five years, and read every issue cover to cover despite never purchasing a single game mentioned within and exclusively playing Gamecube.

Weaver is talking about getting excited during or after the preloading is over because it's over with and now you just have to wait for the right time and you will get to play it with no hassle
