I know you posted those images ages ago, but just for future reference, that's pretty unnecessary.
I think your work is hovering between the "rounded" look and the more "angular" look, and it feels a little awkward sitting in the middle like this. Maybe try doing a piece that has fewer "edges" along the perimeter of the forms? Be a little more gestural, and make the point in fewer strokes?
