I'm not asking about copy guards or anything like that- I don't want to get into ethical/legal gray areas

What I want to know is how to, for free, and quickly, copy the contents of a DVD to my hard drive
I understand that plenty of programs will rip and convert at the same time- but then I need to wait for the conversion. Even on my 2.4 Ghz C2D MacBook, I'm waiting a good 70 minutes for Handbrake to do its thing
How do I just mirror the contents of the disc to my HDD so I can do the timely conversion later on (if ever)?
Just create a folder on your hard drive. Right click on the DVD icon on the desktop and select open - drag the files from the DVD to the folder you made.
You can now point handbrake at the folder and it will rip the movie from the files.
