Ok, I'm ready to get in on this B.

    Princepeach /Flamincrimehound / No / NA

And I'll be adding the bolded players shortly.

Quick question though, what exactly is the point of a dagger? My avatar looks kind of like a tiny evil wizard man, so I thought a dagger plus magic would be perfectly appropriate, but I can't see any benefit to using daggers over regular swords. Am I missing something?
Later daggers start getting +MAG bonuses. Also, daggers let you act faster than swords.

EDIT: The first one I've seen is the Kris, at Level 10. ATK17, MAG2, Fire+1.

I think some daggers give bonuses to +mag

Most Certainly. TO be honest there is alot about how the game plays, the overall design, and the npc's that reminds me of FFXI.

This is probably pretty obvious, but those big fire trolls in the desert drop the Fire Giant Anklet right? Because I just got weapon crafting and after getting up to rank by giving them a bunch of shards I don't use, I see that I really want that stylish armor. I have all the stuff needed except for those anklets though.

    So something of interest.

I was fighting an earth dragon, walked up behind it and started hitting its tail with a combo. After a bit before it died I received item "Dragons Tail" in my inventory. It also dropped items on its death. Any word if we should be aiming for certain parts of big monsters to get items?

That would make sense, especially considering that hit locations barely seem to have an effect on combat, if at all.

I believe so. I have a few and those are the only things I've downed recently that could have dropped them.

Correct. On certain types of monsters, you can attempt to aim for different parts to get loots. For example, the boss of the Greydall plains will drop Ice Crystals if you punch its Head in.

And no, hit locations are really important. Typically head takes more damage and has chance to K.O. on hit. Belly takes more damage and naturally gets hit by jumping attacks. Repeatedly hitting a certain leg will cause the stagger effect.

Can someone help me figure out the combo system?

I've got some made but I can't seem to get them to work right. When I trigger them they only appear to do one more and then wait the normal time... Is that how its supposed to go down?

Also, how do you chain the moves with the arrows? Like the ones that knock them up and then knock them across and then back down again. I've tried putting them in sequence and all my toon does is hit them into the air and then watch them fall.

I assume I'm doing something wrong here but I was hoping I wasn't this dumb... Some help would be lovely.

A couple people have guides but i think most of us are just doing trial/error. But yeah if you just spam X it will work, you don't actually have to time it. It's a bit disappointing because it's very satisfying when you pull off a long timed combo.

I shall endeavor to do so, thank you for the tip.

On another note... 2hand Axe isn't really stunning me too much at this point. Seems like Elemental does more damage (when I watch a mage go at it) and a lot more quickly.

I'm 99% 2handed axe right now. Maybe thats my problem? Should I be mixing it with 2hand Sword or something different? All of my attacks seem identical at this point, just with a slightly different swing animation and small variations in damage.

I'm just going what I think is fun at the moment, instead of concerning myself with maximizing damage and so forth. The game doesn't appear to be too difficult.

Plus you can eventually max out everything, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I don't know how long that would take, though.

Went full holy and staff for some reason, dont know why. Wish there was a respec. Havent really tried much of the online though I have a city setup and whatnot. A few questions.

Whats the difference between doing quests online and offline? Are they the same quests.

Do all of the residents generally effect whats sold. I have lumberjacks, warriors, and mages and i'm not really seeing the results.

Anyone know if there is a respec option? I'm guessing not but i'm still hoping. And on that note how many skills can you max out at the end?

    ...that's alot of questions.

    1) They are the same quests. The offline ones *may* be easier than the online ones.

    2) Yes, Residents and Job Parts affect what is sold in your General Store.

    3) No respec until 50. You can max 2 skills the first time through. With the extra points, sky's the limit. IIRC, the number I heard quoted after 4 reincarnations was max of 4 skills.
