Movie Poster Frames

I'm buying a few movie posters (movepostersusa.com if anyone is wondering) and I have a few game posters from strategy guides.

I'm trying to see how much a frame costs. Are there any cheap frames that fit 27" x 39" posters? Cheap as in $10-20.

I feel this is a long shot.

If not - any ideas on how to mount these things? Posterboard seems a bit too cheap.

I've got a few along the lines of this

They are pretty cheap but are better than nothing. They tend to slowly separate which is easy to fix (just push it back together) but it can get annoying. Thats about the cheapest frame I can think of, and the only one I have personal experience with in that price range.

Don't go for a cheap frame. I've done it before and regretted it. They either start to curve after a while, or even worse, somehow distort the poster (you'll get these little ripple/fold things in them from the poster not being supported well enough). It's worth it to shell the $30 or so for a good frame.

Try to check a local framing store for specials on posters. My place has a poster special for 39.99 for a black steel frame, regular glass, drymounting on foam board.

Sure, it's an investment - but you only have to do it once and your poster stays crisp foreva.

Wal-mart actually has good frames made for posters. They aren't flimsy and garbage like most poster frames like explained by an above poster.

My thoughts as well. They do frames in all sorts of sizes and, iirc, have frameless glass 'frames' as well as simple but classy (for movie posters) black edged frames.

Wal-Mart has poster frames. You may not find any in the exact size you need, but the frames come with black borders... so just buy a bigger frame than the size of your poster.

Fred Meyer has tons of frames for < $20, but they don't go up to the *full* movie poster size which I think the OP is referring to. The only place I've found that reliably carries those is Suncoast. They're still relatively cheap there.

I've been using this type of frame (sheet of plexiglas in front, sheet of particleboard in back, black/clear/silver plastic frames that snap on at the edges) for years, and have never had trouble with warping or whatever.
