Specifically, an
LG 32LH30 versus the
32LH40.
The main differences are that the 40 seems to have something called "TruMotion 120Hz technology," which apparently alleviates motion blur. It also has a (much) faster response time, and is 120hz vs the 30's 60hz. I've been poking around the webs, and some hyper-tech forums voice complaints about a one-frame imput lag between the 30 and 40 - but unless I was playing Virtua Fighter 5 in tournament conditions, I'm not sure if that's much of an issue for me.
I've got the 30 hooked up to my PS3 right now, and it's very good. My only issue is there is some noticeable blur when it comes to fast motion - it's a little jarring when playing games, and it does have an impact on my experience.
I'm well within my 30 days at Best Buy, and I'm wondering if you fine folks here would offer me some aid. Will I come home with a 40 and say "well that was a brilliant decision - motion blur is almost non-existent now, and will no longer trouble me when gaming!" - or will I say "well
this wasn't worth the trouble - or extra hundred bucks." (I got a bit of a deal on the 30.)
